SALT LAKE CITY (TheBlaze/AP) — A Salt Lake City police officer has been placed on leave and is under investigation after refusing an assignment to work at a gay pride parade.
The officer was among about 30 assigned to provide traffic control and security for the annual Utah Pride Parade on Sunday in Salt Lake City, said department spokeswoman Lara Jones.

If the LEO is truly refusing to work this parade on moral grounds, the state is without question persecuting him.
One thing that amazed me when I looked through the internets to see what the Folsom Street Fair was all about, was the cops standing idly by while gays had sex on the public street.
IIRC, there was a cop standing right near the stage where a performer was showing his artistic talents with a basket of assorted veggies and a big can of Crisco
