McCain was going to close GITMO on Day 1 of his presidency and move the terrorists to Leavenworth where liberal FED judges could eventually have field days releasing them.

The Bergdahl-Taliban 'exchange' does raise a serious question:
When the Afghan/Iraq Wars ended, what did the FED/politicians/military plan to do with those Islamists still being detained at GITMO and elsewhere?
It would seem that there would be only 3 options:
execute, imprison for live, release.

Whomever designed the Bergdahl release trade op was a slick terror type indeed.
They not only got rid of the five worst in Club Gitmo but assured that as we leave Afghanistan the Taliban would have all its major leadership back in place to try and undo what we have done there for many years now.
The enemy from within is who we fight. We need to remember that.

I vote for a massive jail break followed by “shot while trying to escape”. Every single one of them.
Sorry! We couldn’t have them running off into Cuba, could we?

It appears there is only one option when the sunset law regarding this war ends....all terrorists at gitmo will be released.
In regard to McCain saying to close gitmo...a lot of politicians said that....but it didn't happen. It was something that was on the table.
