Well, no wonder he went AWOL!
This is a very clear shot across the bow to anyone from the unit who speaks out. We’re going to look at everything you did and didn’t do, and we have no problem with making sh*t up.
Well, where are the OTHER deserters from that unit?
(crickets)
Shut up, NYTs.
The spin machine’s working overtime this weekend.
There’s an old military axiom that says inspection ready units aren’t fit for combat, and combat ready units aren’t fit for inspection...
Agreed. I doubt that there are more than 5% of troops in the field who shine their shoes, have white sidewalls, use brasso on their beltbuckles and so forth. But are they effective at their job? That’s the question and that’s typically what they are rated on.
And so it should be.
Obama admin will keep throwing things until they stick or a new scandal POPS UP
So why doesn’t the media call THIS swiftboating of those who served with Bergdahl?
It meets Chris Matthews (erroneous) definition of swiftboating (which actually means to tell the truth about those you served with).
What is with the Mr. this and Mr. that???
Seems like the perfect reason to desert your unit and give aid and comfort to the enemy...
I know I’m a broken record but it’s in no way about Bergdahl.
Obama’s reasons or excuses for what he did are irrelevant. Had it been a decorated soldier it would still have been treason. Sicking five dangerous thugs on our soldiers, on America is treason.
I’ll say what the politically neutered bunch in D.C. won’t say, Bergdahl wasn’t worth it. No one would have been worth it, the price was too high. If Obama really could not have struck a better deal than this, he should have left him. I hate to see how many are going to pay for this but the cost will be prohibitive.
It was so bad that guys were deserting left and right, hundreds at a time...
Huh, what's that? Bergdahl was the only quitter? oh. Nevermind.
Just wait until Bergdahl does his first interview , LOL
There is no room for chickens#!t out there.
Utter Horse Droppings.
No inspection ready unit has passed combat.
No combat ready unit has passed inspection.
From a former Infantry Sergeant (1st BN 52nd Inf, D company)
I don’t give a s**t about anything else. Those guys went out into hostile territory to try and get Bergdahl back.
What a chickenshit article from a chickenshit writer at a chickenshit newspaper.
They risked their lives to get a deserter back and the New York Times dishonors their courage and devotion. What a cowardly, foolish article.
Just one of those Soldiers in that unit has more courage, compassion and commitment in one little finger than every journalist in this country lumped together has.
The anonymous source.. a NY Times registered trademark.
Talk about being trapped behind enemy (The NY Times') lies.
It's just a matter of time before they print a story that an anonymous fellow soldier said that Bergdahl stole a helicopter and killed the six troops himself.. or some wild tale like that to use to mock those who don't worship the One.
The NYT found a narrative that’s gained traction in Leftdom.
When will the Left accuse Blackfoot Company of kidnapping Bergdahl, placing him in the control of the Taliban?
