Yes, it's obviously the fault of the "liberal RINO establishment" that Steve Lonegan lost SIX separate attempts for higher office. Without them, he would have won every single time because he is a brave principled flawless Tea Party savior who never turns off voters and is beloved by all conservatives.
So, what does winning any previous election have to winning a current election?
Before Reagan won the GOP Nomination he lost.
Should he have just given up?

If he lost one time, nope.
If he lost FIVE times in a row, yes, he needs to get a clue that voters dislike him. You can yell "Abraham Lincoln!" and "Ronald Reagan!" Neither of them had a track record of 0 wins, 5 losses.
But I have no doubt this reality is long on Lonegan supporters and they're probably gearing up now to "draft" him for a seventh run in 2016. The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over...

Ask the Las Vegas odds makers why they've ranked the chances of the Chicago Cubs winning the world series this year at the bottom. I mean there past track record shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with their chances THIS season, right? Most likely it's all the fault of the "liberal baseball establishment" when the Cubs lose a game.
