On December 20, 1998 the House of Representatives approved a two-article bill of impeachment against President William Jefferson Clinton. In it, Clinton was accused of lying to a grand jury, suborning witnesses’ perjury in a civil case, and other such criminal conduct. What was missing from the Senate trial on that indictment — and from the nation at that time — was the political momentum to remove Clinton from office. So, like the only other president so far to be impeached, Clinton was not convicted in the Senate trial that followed.
Andy McCarthy, a former senior federal prosecutor, has written the new book Faithless Execution, which is both a powerful case for the impeachment of Barack Obama and also a politically savvy explanation of why it will never happen. It’s brilliant and frustrating. Brilliant because of the constitutional analysis of the impeachment mechanism and frustrating because it recognizes that no matter how deserving of it he may be, Barack Obama will never be impeached.
Article II Section 4 of the Constitution says that the President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States “…shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” Treason and bribery are, of course, crimes prosecutable in federal court. When impeachment is discussed — and it’s not in polite company these days because timorous Republicans are frightened by mere mention of the “i-word” — it’s largely understood to encompass only criminal conduct.

Was Obama “popularly elected”? Not in my book. When the absentee ballots outnumber the absentee voters, etc. I call it a rigged election. Perhaps the CIA needs to “get involved” if impeachment and imprisonment is out of the question.
With the present American Congress and electorate, I don't think any amount of goods is enough to get both an impeachment and conviction. It will take the mad Mullahs in Iran or Putin to remove the scourge from the US and only Iran is crazy enough to do it, maybe.
I remember Watergate - that's exactly what was said... that it was 'going nowhere'. The nay sayers were wrong.

Call your Congressman and Senators. tell them you consider this an act of treason against the US and the President has now endangered all of America with another 9/11 attack by releasing these dangerous criminals.
Tell them you expect them to uphold their oath to the Constitution.
The President must be impeached and removed from office for this treacherous act. That is the remedy under the constitution.
My reps are all Dems, but they heard from me this morning.
If you do nothing, nothing will change.
They don’t need your money — they already got it.
They can vote themselves a pay raise any time they want to.
There is probably an overwhelming case to be made for impeachment, but we don’t have enough politicians with the moral integrity or the courage to conduct such a long overdue process.
Congressional pay isn’t even the sales tax on congressional income.
Even CNBC reported that Congress critters acheve “market crushing” investment returns being exempt from insider trading laws.
You understand now why they are willing to spend so much money and effort to win a seat?
The rewards are mind blowing.
As far as I know, it’s the only place where you spend millions to win a job that pays in the hundred thousands.
Yes, but whose millions in contributions are being spent during the campaign and who gets to enjoy the hundreds of thousands and all the freebees after the seat is gained?
