A former U.S. officer who served in Afghanistan with Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl claims that soldiers were threatened by U.S. authorities if they questioned his story. After he was captured, Bergdahl said on a video from his captors that he lagged behind on patrol, although other sources in the military suggested anonymously that he walked away from his post. “Not only has this nebulous non-story been put out for years but you know these soldiers of 4th Brigade 25th Infantry Division were threatened with legal repercussions if they spoke about Bergdahl. Everybody officially mandated silencing of what we saw has been so frustrating,”

It’s been this way for decades....I learned early on in the Marine Corps (billeted for over a year with a ton of senior NCOs and officers from Major up to one-star — all in very close proximity) that the military is a HUGE cover-your-ass organization.

My guess is that in less than 3 months he’ll be room temperature.
The fact that those oaths are breaking down is a bad sign. It means that they won’t respect other oaths like to the constitution when the time comes.

Hunt said on O’Reilly’s show tonight, that he took his cell phone when he went AWOL, called in the next day to inform his unit that he had deserted.
That and it takes news away from Benghazigate and Vetgate.

I saw the former members of his unit with Megyn Kelly. I am positive no one serving with Bergdahl would even mention desertion was a possibility unless they could back it up.
I saw clips of Susan lying like white on Rice. He served honorably. We need to assess his mental status blah blah blah. The narrative was going to be they rescued a hero. He was suffering from Stockholm Syndrome and now suffers from PTSD. Fortunately there are people speaking out and have turned that narrative inside out.
It was a strange scene watching Mama & Papa Bergdahl walk into the Rose garden with Barry. I do not recall ever seeing Barry and the missus walking as chummy as Mama B and Barry. Papa B bringing up the rear all by his little lonesome. Horrible optics. Undignified. The Dudemeister could have planned a better presentation.
And God help us, in spite of what Obama claims, his administration does leave people behind by refusing to act when a compound in Benghazi is the target of a terrorist attack on 9/11. Hell, we don't even know what he was doing that night.
