GRIFFIN, Ga. -- A 43-year-old Griffin police officer was shot and killed while off-duty early Saturday morning and the man who police say fired the gun is in critical but stable condition after being shot by the officer's brother.
Officer Kevin Jordan was working an overnight security shift in uniform at a Waffle House restaurant in Griffin when two men and a woman caused a disturbance around 2:30 a.m., Griffin Police Lt. Mike Richardson said. Jordan escorted them to the parking lot, when the woman identified as Chantell Mixon began physically fighting with him.

First of all, the cop was black. Shooter was white.
The shooter and Tyler are my stepson’s cousins on his mothers side. Thank God he was raised by his Dad and I. His mothers side are all_ Jerry Springer idiot methheads.
Jordan’s brother shot the shooter in the back.

The incident started when Jordan, who was working an off-duty security job, removed
three drunken and disruptive customers from inside. Police said Chantell Mixon, 28, put
up a fight in the parking lot while Jordan tried to arrest her. Police said Mixon’s
boyfriend, 30-year-old Michael Dwayne Bowman, pulled out a gun and shot Jordan
at least three times.
These are criminal class whites. Yes, they do exist, and in fact infest the rural areas of the US, particularly the South. I live in a part of Florida that borders a lot of seriously rural areas, and I will say that I had never seen such creeps before moving here. They live on a combination of welfare and crime.
And the (black) cop was the good guy.
This just proves that being in a state where Concealed Carry in legal is much safer and the chance of getting murdered is much lower. It seems it all could have been much worse if the victim’s brother had not shown up with his gun.
You are lucky to be remote from them, and you have my sympathy. I have a friend here who has a branch of the family (including several of her grandchildren) that essentially followed a downward path and are almost all in jail at the moment.
It’s kind of a cultural thing. Your reference to Jerry Springer was right on target, because these people’s values are formed by TV and once they saw creeps becoming the new celebrities, that’s where they wanted to go.
Tyler looks like he is scared out of his mind, but I don't understand how he is getting away with only a Disorderly Conduct charge. I thought I you were with folks who shot a cop, you go down as an accomplice to Capital Murder.
I wish you would move back to where you came from. I live in a rural area of Florida which is close to the Alabama line.
The locals are the finest people on earth. That does not mean there are no cretins but overall the people are so nice that I sometimes am ashamed that I don’t behave as well as most of them do.
I would never excuse capital murder and I think if he did it, your Step Nephew should be executed, but from reading the story, it seems that Chantell Mixon started all this mess. I hope she does hard time.

We live about 20 miles away. When he graduated high school he decided to go live with his mom and after hanging out for a few months Thank GOD he decided to move back in and go to college . I never asked why but I had a feeling.
