Seven decades after Allied troops stormed Normandy’s beaches and saved France from the Nazis, the surrender-happy nation is turning its back on hundreds of US veterans who want to return next month to mark the invasion’s 70th anniversary.
France has broken its promise to pay for the vets to fly to this year’s commemoration, according to Rep. Michael Grimm.
“Our chief-of-staff heard it from the French Embassy in DC — that they would be flown out to France [for free],” said Nick Iacono, a spokesman for the Staten Island congressman.
But when The Post contacted the embassy Friday, the French turned up their noses as if smelling rotten Camembert.

This concussion thing is intended to keep people from playing football...there are lots of nervous mothers who won't let their boys play football because of this.

I read William L. Shirer diary of his time in Nazi Germany. He stated many times that the French did not fight at all. There were a lot of French communists and they, along with unions ordered the soldiers not to fight.
If not for D-Day—it would be part of Greater Germania. Maybe France would be a better place?

With National debt soon to climb over $20 TRILLION mark, USA needs to stop all foreign military adventures. Or else, follow the Roman empire, Third Reich, Alexander the Great, and all other leading power houses who met their demise with foreign military adventures.
