Its the kind of conservative media story only conservatives understand.
The latest numbers are out for Michael Savages radio show. Recall that Savage was a key player in the battle between Sean Hannity and Cumulus radio. A battle that had an exasperated Hannity finally firing Cumulus, as reported here in NewsBusters at the time. But not before Savage, whom Cumulus had in the wings to replace Hannity in the latters Cumulus slots, took shots at Hannity, gloating at taking Hannitys slot.
The Savage numbers tell a revealing tale of conservatism in the media. So lets start with the brand new numbers themselves, numbers supplied by Nielsen Audio. They are the numbers for April last month -, and cover 52 of Americas major radio markets. We will directly compare them here with Sean Hannitys last numbers before being replaced on Cumulus stations - which is to say Hannitys numbers for December, 2013. The percentages cited again, these are from Nielsen Audio (formerly known as Arbitron) are nothing if not startling.

I seriously believe and have oft stated it on his thread that he was "chosen". One of his tasks was to
show that giving hell back at the liberals is the correct thing to do!
I do recall the full four decades of the Fairness Doctrine and the dominant-liberal attitude that "one hour a week of Buckley's PBS Firing Line was all the fairness conservatives deserved."
I never heard Joe Pyne on radio but I was a fan of his TV show. He could give 'em (and Harry) hell right back. Liberals got him kicked off radio blaming his criticism of JFK for Oswald's assassination of JFK.
Bob Grant was like that.
One night in the 1970s some guy with a foreign accent called to argue with Grant. Fianlly Grant cut him off and said on the air to his producer, "No more foreign accents tonight."
I guess there is no way to get you to show those numbers showing that his show has "tanked", leading you to believe his show is near the end.
Yes and I recall Grant telling how he entered talk radio as a host because he had to go on the air -- Pyne had just been summarily kicked off the air that day. Liberals blamed Pyne, et al criticism of JFK for the assassination of JFK.
That’s why I do like Beck. You will hear information and discussions about issues that are very important to us all on his program. Each one of the most admired conservative radio talk show hosts have a different style, and each brings something different to the table. And for that reason, I listen to all three of these men, and I thank God for them in our time of need.
They couldn't admit that JFK was killed by one of their own -- a leftist named Lee Harvey Oswald who didn't like how JFK was treating Castro, and not some right-winger for domestic policy reasons like civil rights.
The liberals did not want the focus on Oswald and his left-wing sympathies, so they shifted the blame to some kind of right-wing something in the air.
The very day after JFK's death, the NY Times ran two articles on the front page -- one, a straightforward news article about the shooting and the accused shooter and his background. The other article was an opinion piece by Scotty Reston with the slant that some element in the country (i.e., mean conservatives) was really to blame. So the myth-making started early.
It was not about who really pulled the trigger, but about shifting the blame for political reasons.
Medved is vociferously pro amnesty
Seeing as how you can’t understand plain English, no, there’s not.
Goodbye, ansel, have a crappy life.
I think you’ve hit on it. If his show were shorter, it would be tighter in content. But that won’t stop me from listening to him, because when he’s good, and funny good as well, he’s worth listening to.
I think we established that you made it up.
Hannity doesn’t seem to be tanking and on his way out, he seems to be doing quite well.
bkmk
That isn't opinion, that is about numbers, do you have those numbers?
ripss=trips
A couple of them I never heard of, and some I didn’t even know they had radio shows, like Sharpton.
I haven’t heard Stephanie Miller either, I was glad that Bill O’Reilly didn’t make it in radio.
Go cry moar to the mods.
You have an interesting reaction to someone asking you to support your claim that Hannity’s ratings have “tanked”, and he will be retiring.
Most people would correct themselves, or post their evidence, but you have a totally different way of dealing with a challenge for factual support of one of your claims.
