He probably finds the whole thing offensive to Muslims.
I agree. One of Bush’s big problems, in a sense, was that he was a gentleman, and instead of standing up on his hind legs and fighting back against the insane attacks on him, he either shut up and took them quietly (thereby letting people believe they were true) or he made friendly gestures to the opposition, hoping that this would prove his good will.
Also, I have never seen any president attacked the way Bush was.
He also probably stayed away out of consideration for the families and victims, because I’m sure all the Dem and even a lot of conservative loonies who now also suffer from BDS would have been out there making the day a nightmare.
obama is offensive. He should never have been there. George Bush allowed the democrats to roll him time and time again.
He should have been there to show the difference between him and obama.
No nobel peace prize...
and the museum?? Did they credit President Bush in any way? Are there photos of him? or did they scrub references to him?
Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.
IIRC, this museum was supposed to have free admission when conceived but now they want to charge admission. Nobody should go there on those grounds alone (for any reason).
According to a story in the New York Times, Bush was invited but declined because of a previous commitment.
What really got me was seeing Bill and Hillary there with their chins in the air.
Of course, if Bill had done his effing job none of this would have happened. These people have ZERO shame.
He was in Bentonville, Arkansas today. My husband was downtown and spotted him leaving a meeting room adjacent to the Walmart visitors’ center. No idea why he was there but it was him. A cop friend of ours was heading up the motorcade, I don’t know if he has any details but I can ask his wife when I see her tomorrow.

Maybe it was smart for George W. to stay away.
He would have been surrounded with communists and insane liberals. They would have turned the ceremony into a “It’s Bush’s fault” campaign. He is a private citizen now and can choose where he goes and when.
W doesn’t owe anyone a damn thing.
