After the group Right Wing Watch reported the twins who star in HGTVs recently greenlit reality series Flip It Forward are anti-gay activists, the network said this morning it had given the hook to the series, which was set to debut in October. Yesterday, HGTV said it was currently in the process of reviewing all information about the Benhams and we will provide an update as soon as possible. Then came a tweet today:

Right Wing Watch reported Tuesday that David Benham had led a prayer rally outside of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC in 2012, in which he told conservative radio host Janet Mefferd that Americas Christian majority must repent for tolerating homosexuality and its agenda that is attacking the nation and demonic ideologies tak[ing] our universities and our public school systems. He also said his brother had joined him in the prayer protest. The group also claimed David leads protests outside of abortion clinics.
HGTV announced at its upfront presentation last month in Los Angeles that it had picked up the home-flipping series about brothers David and Jason Benham. The networks description of the show at the time: After a decade of flipping houses for profit, brothers David Benham and Jason Benham now help families buy the homes they never thought they could afford. In each episode, the guys help a deserving family find a fixer-upper and transform it into their forever home with a healthy dose of sibling rivalry between the brothers along the way. At the same presentation, HGTV also announced it had greenlighted a design competition show from Ellen DeGeneres.
No such thing as anti-gay. It is anti-homosexual. Honesty is the best place to start from..........
In another ten years, apposing the sexual abuse of underage boys by predator men will be considered homophobic.
...and they can resume worshiping Jerry Sandusky up at Penn St...
Doubtful there has ever been a straight guy on that network.
...kind of a debatable point, given the topic of the above article, isn’t it...?
Supporting traditional marriage and Christian concepts of behavior make one an “anti-gay” activist now?
“It’s sick out there and getting sicker.”- (the late) Bob Grant
Didn’t any body tell these “CHRISTIANS” that if and when “CHRISTIANITY” and all their moral “DON”Ts” make their come back, they will immediately bring back the “INQUISITION”? Then all “NON-BELIEVERS” will either be forced to become “CHRISTIANS” or be banished or be burned at the stake. Never mind that all of the signers of our constitution were all “CHRISTIANS” and these same “CHRISTIANS” gave us the freedoms we all now enjoy. The age of the “FEEL GOOD” religion is now here. If it “FEELS” good, then it must be all right religion. Don’t worry about “MORALLITY” or anything like that. When history is written about this country, they will realize that “IMMORALLITY” was the cause of the destruction of this country.
if it was not for adhesion contract bundling, hgtv would not be viable. (h? g?)
The 98% should let the advertisers know they will pay a price in lost business for going along with this.
Writing to cable companies demanding the removal of the homsoexualtv channel works too.
You know what? I don't support any of it, and they can call me homophobic all day long...don't bother me none.
And we need the government to STOP TELLING US we HAVE TO accept it.
Traditional television is on its way out, so maybe the family could film them doing their own thing and put it on Youtube or their website.
Except that once those protections are destroyed, there would be no motivation to restore them.
Should we be surprised? I mean, the network is run by a bunch of interior decorators.
