A federal judge in Milwaukee has struck down Wisconsin's voter Identification law, saying it unfairly burdens poor and minority voters.
U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman issued his long-awaited decision Tuesday. It invalidates Wisconsin's law.
Wisconsin's law would have required voters to show a state-issued photo ID at the polls. Supporters said it would cut down on voter fraud and boost public confidence in the integrity of the election process.
But Adelman sided with opponents, who said it disproportionately excluded poor and minority voters because they're less likely to have photo IDs or the documents needed to get them.
Wisconsin's law was only in effect for a 2012 primary before a Dane County judge declared it unconstitutional.

They don’t have a problem with picture ID when buying a gun.......................
One of those names that has no gender specificity. like Tracy or Jean.................
Good lawyers do that. There are agencies that will give you reports on judges to help you figure out their bias, from background, prior rulings, news clipping, ratings etc. Normally you would get one free strike and recusals for cause where like here there was a conflict of interest and obvious bias.
You can bet the bad side is shopping judges to get these activist rulings.
What IS that?
He looks like an older, insane version of the warden from Shawshank.
What is it going to take for the states to rise up and seceed?
This judge is ruling against USSC precedent on grounds already plowed?
Anyone who wants to go to this Judge’s courtroom needs to show photo ID.
Obviously the Federal Court system is attempting to unfairly burden minorities from access to the Federal Courts.
We should ban all federal facilities from requiring photo ID for entrance into all federal facilities.
It’s just not fair!!!
Leftists have “run out the clock” on the 2014 vote for Gov. Walker.... IA, MN, IL, MI unionistas using the same day voter registration law to tip the scales for Mary Burke...absolutely disgusting! I’ve been disenfranchised...

These guys doing this to the US are not morons, they are actually acting according to plan.
Yes, people will moan and groan and make some comments, but in the end, nobody is doing anything, and this is exactly what they want.
What are folks willing to do to fix their country?
Then why require a driver’s license. That must also place a burden on the poor and minorities.
Judicial tyranny.
Both eyes lookin’ out of the same hole....It’s a moron!!
The governor should just tell him to pack sand and implement the law as legislated. There is no rule of law anymore so why not just ignore this senile old communist?
She fell for the old Marxist lie about how rich white capitalists keep the minorities down, rob them of their labor, and only are concerned with themselves and profits.
Today that is translated into discrimination against the poor, old, minorities, children and Miley Cyrus fans.
Corrupt judges...but get the job for life...what a deal!
The USA a democracy?
Ha ha ha ha...what a joke!
Don’t you know a corrupt Police State when you have one?
Vote? No id (least we have more honest elections).
Everything else? ID mandatory.

The real power of a president is appointing judges/justices.
Then they had better not require an ID for another constitutional right called the 2nd amendment.
Oh, yah. That’s right. “Those” people need to not have any firearms so those white, rich neighborhoods aren’t threatened.
That’s the premise behind the new CT gun law. Intentional, pure racism.
