The way the media all jumped on this non-story, is the same response as a Pavlovian Dog, to the intended response to contrived stimulation or deterrent.

Okay, fair enough. But here’s my take on this situation: ‘racism’ is attributing just about any (behavioral) trait to someone’s race. Anthropologically, it’s a rather dumb position to advocate. However, we don’t see a lot of great black swimmers, for example, despite Africa having more coastline than anywhere else. Fine, whatever.
The problem with what Sterling revealed in his conversation is that as an NBA franchise owner, he was asserting a profound sense of white superiority which has and which should have no place in Western, Christian civilization. It’s like he sees himself as the superior type, ‘owning’ and ‘using’ and being entertained by the finest black athletes. Almost like the owner of a great racehorse, castigating his mistress for bringing the thoroughbred to a garden party as a guest.
Like I saw Charles Barkley suggesting yesterday, Sterling really goes beyond mere racism.
That part makes sense. Sports figures get punished for the PR hit, the legality of the events that led up to the PR hit don’t matter.
Breaking news?
Come on...
"The NAACP's Los Angeles chapter has now twice combined an awful decision with even worse timing. On May 15, 2014, Donald Sterling is set to receive another Lifetime Achievement Award. Sterling also won the 2008 NAACP Presidents Award."
He gets a share of the NBA’s billion dollar US TV contract
“Why would a racist even own an NBA team?”
because it’s profitable to do so?
Yeah, but they're banning him for what he said in a supposedly private conversation and not his past scummy activities. And they're punishing him but not punishing part Nets owner Jay-Z who wore a racist medallion to a game. The league has a right to protect it's image and interests, but they're being huge hypocrties. I sincerely doubt they'd be doing these things if Sterling was black instead of white. We'll see what they do to black Knicks executive Larry Johnson who urged an all-black league. My guess is either a slap on the wrist or nothing.
Ricky Rubio says hi.
“The Conservative answer should be to respect others for who they are;”
Should be, but in today’s world, that just gets you run over and left for road kill.
To counter the media propaganda, you have to force them to follow through on their convictions.
They want quotas? They want political correctness? THEN SHOVE IT DOWN THIER THROATS UNTIL THEY CHOKE ON IT.
sterling is a registered repbulican and major donor to the GOP, to the extent that is relevant
equality of opportunity, or equlatiy of results (affirmative action)? whites and asians have the same opportunity to succeed in the NBA as african americans. just ask kevin love and jeremy lin. just because they aren’t as good as AA doesn’t mean there should be a quota, does it?
what does this comment have to do with donald sterling being a proven racist?
the NBA does not have an anti-trust exemption, only baseball does:
magic johnson has already said he wants to buy the clippers...
Magic Johnson does not have a billion dollars.
I’d like to buy the clippers, but I’m still a billion bucks shy of being a billionaire.
Proven racist? Because maybe he doesn’t like certain blacks?
There are certain blacks I don’t like because they subscribe to an inferior culture.....Other blacks don’t.
It’s not the skin color, it’s the culture.
Good. I don’t care either. Let me also state that his words don’t bother me at all. Primarily because I choose not too. For the record, I’ve been spending the day with the guys at work saying that if I was Sterling’s lawyer, I could present one heck of a case in his defense.
For starters, I’m pretty sure that $2.5 million fine will never get paid.
