This is why it needs to be framed this way.
Socialist libs incorrectly harp on “illegal” as saying “no person is illegal” - oh yeah, how bout those unborn babies?
But “illegal” is referring to the behavior the person is DOING, not the person themself.
Now of course they know that but they try to reframe the debate by changing the language. They can’t handle the definition of “illegal immigrant” because it accurately describes such a person, so they try to change the definition by making a stupid argument that it somehow refers to that person, as a person, is “illegal” when that’s NEVER been how it’s applied in the first place, and they know it, and you know it and everyone else knows it.
Take back the language, embarrass their sophomoric attempt to put up a lame argument, and continue to use the term.

Technically, Sarah, they should not be referred to as immigrants.
They are illegals, or illegal aliens. or criminaliens.
If you have to add “immigrant” to the reference, I’d limit it to crimagrant.
