Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky has a 5 percentage point lead in Colorado over Democrat Hillary Clinton in a possible 2016 presidential matchup, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.
"The road to the White House has many twists and turns, but right now, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is the man to beat in Colorado," said Tim Malloy, the polls assistant director. Colorado is often a swing state; President Barack Obama won it in 2012 with 51.4 percent of the vote.
The Quinnipiac survey, released Thursday, showed Paul, a Republican, up 48 to 43 percent. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is tied with Clinton at 42 percent. Clinton fares better against other possible Republican challengers. She tops former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, 45 to 40 percent, and beats former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, 45 to 44 percent.

She doesn't get it!!
you must be definining “Republican” differently than how the GOP does.
He voted for Kerry and Hagel. 4 and 5.
Don’t worry Hillary.Your pal McCain is ramping up his support for you in Sedona. I’m sure it will transcend state lines in plenty of time for your success./sarc
“..........’the man to beat in Colorado’”....
Well that settles it. Colorado has gone overboard to the demodummies and I don’t see Paul pulling that out. I hope I am wrong.
I would very much like to see that.
I'd gleefully accept Rand Paul with Cruz on the ticket. Or Sarah in there somewhere.
I'm set to Cruz control but anyone but a RINO or a Rat...

If this trend continues, the Dems will do a “Chris Christie” on him. (Put aside for a moment the discussion about whether or not you’d want to see Christie as the nominee.) I think it’s interesting that the demonization of Christie over “Bridgegate”, Hurrican Sandy, etc., began immediately after a number of polls showed Christie beating Hillary. Look for the same thing to happen to Paul or anyone else who starts to build momentum against Hillary.
No, Colorado got flooded with northeast and left coast democrats fleeing the states they destroyed. A native Coloradan like me is an endangered species. As demorat run states continue to fail the locusts will come into and devastate every state in the union.
Thinking about the way the PTBs like to pick election candidates, I had wondered about the seemingly sudden (to me) over exposure of Ted Cruz, since Cruz offers several unique benefits for them
Was this a natural rise or a bubble? Was it his handlers and him "making a name for himself" or was it the progressives tactically using their one stream media to shoot down a threat with early over exposure?
There are many ropes they can give you to hang yourself with and, depending on one's ego, too many cameras and microphones can work really well.
Cruz is not a media approved candidate and thus Quinnipquinipiaciac doesn’t offer up Cruz in their poll.
That’s Great!
I won’t be voting for him.
As a Coloradoan I agree. We have been overrun with the leftist scum voting for disgusting people like Udall, Bennett and DeGette. Let’s not forget Hickenloopy and the entire DemocRAT cancer in Colorado.
Regarding Paul, it is that 3 percent that people get stuck on.
He’ll never get my votes.
I don’t support Libertarians, pretending to be conservatives who:
1. Wants to grant Amnesty.
2. Waffles on Abortion.
3. Is unwilling to take on the Gay Marriage fight or anything regarding Social issues.
4. Is unable to see how wrong Putting is.
5. Pretends to be a Tea-Party member while supporting one of the Head GOP-E and refusing to support the opposing TEA-PARTY candidate.
nice try four and 8 years ago at THIS stage nothing was relevant - and it never is almost 3 years out.
And even if for some reason the polls now are meaningful, it doesn’t change my main point: that the liberal media is flat out lusting for Rand or Jeb - and afraid of Cruz. Period. End of discussion. Thanks for playing, drive safely...
Don’t forget that just this week, he said Obama Care could not be turn back.
and the paulbots would have us believe this is meaningful for 2016 as a barometer ..
What pot heads will any other Republican win over?
