The Talk Shows
April 27th, 2014
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Gov. Mike Pence, R-Ind.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair; Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; Tony Blinken, deputy national security adviser; Sens. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., and Bob Corker, R-Tenn.; former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson; Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Netanyahu; Blinken; Sens. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., and Ben Cardin, D-Md.; Palestinian official Hanan Ashrawi.
Elizabeth Warren - not running for president in 2016. Focussing on her book, A Fighting Chance, about protecting the little people from financial institutions. Her “I’m really concerned about the little people” look throughout the interview cracked me up.
Now the round table is reviewing Picketty’s book. Paul Krugman likes it - that’s all I need to know.
Ah, I see, the two books deal with “Income Inequality” which is the talking point of the day and the issue which will be used to steal more of our wealth/property.
Thanks. Not many talk about Pence here. Palin, Cruz, Paul, Walker, etc., get a lot of attention and articles posted, but rarely Pence.
lol...just as I read your comment about race relations, a panelist on the discussion about “income inequality” on ABC just said white families have 6 x the wealth as a black or Hispanic family coming out of this recession.
I remember when an American politician talking about Income Inequality was rightfully considered a communist and ignored by both political parties.
Sadly how far we have fallen, when correcting Income Inequality seems like a noble concept to so many LIVs today.
I would ask them, if Income Inequality was reversible by government edict, why has it ALWAYS failed EVERY time it was tried (Soviet Union, Cuba, Red China during Mao, Venezuela, etc., etc.). They have no answer, except to insist that doubling down on the communism will FINALLY get ‘er done.
My book explains the real way to improve income inequality and where their solutions will end up. Income inequality is a good thing and is what makes people move forward. Something Marxists don’t like.
Oh, really?
I'm in Alabama. What a laugh. Poor whites are not doing so well, Mr. and Ms. Big City Leftist Bean Sprout Eating Journ-0-lists.
And now, doubling of food and gas prices hurts them, no matter the color of their skin! As far as color goes, as Hillary! would say, "What difference does it make?"
Give them JOBS, not welfare. Geesh. So simple, you'd think even a democrat could do it, but I guess they're way below cavemen.
Good points. When I hear “Income Inequality” today...I hear how someone scheming to take more of my money in the name of “fairness”.
Mike Pence is hitting it out of the park. Common sense answers to an insane world.
University of Michigan
Total enrollment at the university is 43,426, a 1.7 percent increase that marks the largest student body in university history.
Out-of-state and international students now comprise 42.6 percent of this fall's freshman class, outpacing non-resident enrollment levels of recent history.
Non-resident freshmen pay $39,122, or $26,118 more than resident freshmen. Additionally, out-of-state students received less per-student university-sponsored financial aid than residents.
Overall, there are 27,979 undergraduates and 15,447 graduate students.
There are more than 2,000 more men enrolled than women.
Underrepresented minorities make up 10 percent of the freshmen class, a 0.5 percent decrease from 2011 and a 0.6 percent decrease from 2010.
Overall, there are 2,207 blacks, 1,785 latinos, 442 Native Americans and 81 Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders enrolled. At 5,689 students, Asian Americans, who are not considered underrepresented, make up 13.1 percent of the school's total student body.
This year 13.5 percent of the student body 5,881 students are considered international, an increase of roughly five percent from last year.
FNS
Pence interview was rather ho-hum. He used a lot of political jargon without saying anything substantive. He did invoke Reagan regarding foreign policy.
==
Wallace asks him about his presidential aspirations. Then, as soon as Wallace ends the segment, he asks ‘are we looking a Clinton-Bush match-up?’
“Income inequality is a good thing “
Exactly......it is a great motivator.
I doubt the liberals would go for that. One child was raped and then strangled with an electrical cord while the other was shot with a shotgun and buried alive. Might not pass the aclu.....
The Left. Such an unbelievable blending of ignorance and arrogance.
Thanks, TomGuy...not surprising. I think Pence is being too safe these days (which tells me he is running for pres). I’m going to miss the interview cuz I’m headed to church....guess I’m not missing a lot.
After Pence it is slim pickings. Meet the Marxists is pathetic.
What an outrage! They didn’t count the fags, dykes and shemales!
Oh, I am sorry! I mean Gay, Lesbian and Transgenders!
How offensive and Clive of you. Off to the virtual gulag!
Yes. It’s like saying “Negro”. Simply verboten!
The Asians are smart have an excellent work ethic and must have a great genetic advantage since the out excel everyone else.
What next, you going to use the word colored while White? How offensive, off to the gulag! Only Marxists can talk about race and gender properly.
