Chris Christie offered a challenge to critics who allege the New Jersey governor created a culture of intimidation that led to so-called Bridgegate: Prove it.
The Republican defiantly made his case Thursday at a town hall meeting in Ocean County after an attendee told the governor that his friends and family believe that Christie must have cultivated a toxic environment that allowed such an abuse to take place.
Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. resident Len Ludovico, 71, said he wanted to know what argument he could make to such critics, insisting he knows Christie would not risk his political career and integrity on something as petty as lane closures on the George Washington Bridge. Christie advised the retired high school teacher to argue: Point to something factually something that proves that he created such a culture.

It’s the seriousness of the accusation that matters, not it’s veracity, as Tom Foley taught us.
I don’t want Chris anywhere near the White House, but it’s nice to see at least someone willing to fight back against the media-liberal machine.
You think he might have learned his lesson about buddying up to liberals?
You’ve got to live in this state to really experience this guy. He’s an a-hole.
Ah another really dumb Presidential-wannabe challenge over ethical lapses. Someone bring me some popcorn. This is going to get fun in 3....2....1....
I moved out long before he started his reign. My last year in that state was the year of four “governors”; last one was Jim McGreedy, whose sexuality was already known to the common person for ages.
Christie’s pretty bad, but I’d have a hard time imagining him to be worse than Corzine.
Shoots his mouth off like a mobster...No matter...he’s lost not gained
OTOH,we have Govenor Deval "Coupe Deval" Patrick of Massachusetts. He's a Rat...a RAT'S Rat...long time pal of Osama Obama himself and a person "of color".He's recently made it clear that he's running for President in '16.While Governor of the Gay State he's been directly responsible for dozens of deaths, including the death of a 7 year old boy who was under the protection of his social services people but, while "enjoying" that protection, his mother's boyfriend murdered him.He was just discovered last week buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area.
But during his campaign anyone who brings up these dozens of deaths will be called a racist and, well, you know the rest.
spoken like a true Mafioso
Gary Hart to the white courtesy telephone. Fat boi is way over his mob pay grade.
When it comes to any conservative or moderate Republican the “Alinsky Rules” apply. Truth has no bearing on destroying a persons character or on charges made to do so.
Regardless of what you think about Christie, isn’t interesting that this “scandal” suddenly came out of nowhere immediately after a number of polls showed Christie beating Hillary in 2016?
I liked him a lot when he first made the national scene. He is wearing thin now. Very thin.
It was an obvious hit. Perhaps too early. He is obviously trying to recover.
True that.
From someone who has wasted countless hours of his life in traffic jams on that bridge -- before Christie had even graduated from law school -- Christie's biggest problem isn't a traffic jam on a bridge famous for olympic-class traffic jams.
“Prove it—BS!”
Within a nanosecond-Crispycreme knew the who, what, where, when, and the why of the bridge traffic mess.
He knew EVERYTHING before the morning news did.
Any concept of ‘ignorance’ on his part strains credulity beyond the breaking point.
And..........IT WENT ON for FOUR BLEEPING DAYS!
Please don’t try to tell me he wasn’t involved. BIG TIME.
‘’ He’s wearing thin now’’. There’s irony in that for sue!
Well there was this bridge was closed. It was on all over the news. You were in charge. Your guilty.
Factual? The incident DID occur on Christie's watch. Ask yourself why underlings would do something like this and risk their careers if they thought the boss would disapprove. His "prove it" attitude alone in that news conference alone does not really help his case and raises flags to me. Just another reason to say Hell No to Christie.
