“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, “and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.
“And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?” he asked. “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”

As to second, Clinton said those words about O fetching coffee to Ted Kennedy, and “offended” Ted used it to endorse O over Hillary in 2008.
Jesse Jackson was the one caught on tape saying he’d like to “cut O’s nuts out” (not off, but out - sounds more grisly and graphic, as if the Rainbow man has done it before).
There is no end of stories where someone hates O and then they come around and love him. Either bribed or threatened. Chicago way.
We’ll see how Steve Wynn of Vegas turns out. He just had a screaming match with George Clooney where Wynn yelled, “O’s an A-hole!”
Looney Clooney was probably offended because he took it as a Gay slur, but perhaps Wynn was only referring to his defective personality. (probably both)
Some media weasel probably asked bunny about blacks, and he went off, because he is not media savvy, and although right on his ranch issue, 68% a dope and a doofus.

And these talk radio types need to be proactive, too. Beck interviewed him, Hannity interviewed him...how about during the commercial break one of them tells him NOT to discuss "negroes" or "the gays" ?

The anecdotes in your response were amusing, but did nothing to address that the reason Bundy is fighting is because of an unconstitutional action by government.
I watched the video cited below your comment. It appears the NYT quoted him as per the video. As to whether or not it is racist, that’s in the eye of the beholder. To me, he seemed to be a nice fellow, bearing no animosity towards any racial group, but concerned that the “Negroes” are not doing any better now than when they were slaves. That may be naivete, or whatever, but it is not going to get a lot of support in today’s political world.
And that means the Left owns the battlefield. I say, call it the "dog whistle" that it is.
And anyone who responds as the Left wants them to, is also a dog.
My first thought is that the whole episode about Bundy's situation has been orchestrated to destroy dissent. I smell a rat.
Americans are not buying into the character assassination by Reid and his left wing cronies; the race card is dead as you are learning. There was no damage done, The same people not supporting him then are the same people doing the same not supporting him now.
But hey, if DU thinks they can fool some into giving up their rights because of a race card play, have at it.
Given that, do think the gov should call off the dogs?
