To win the Senate, Republicans must win North Carolina. While it’s mathematically possible to take the Senate without ousting Democratic senator Kay Hagan, the chances of that happening are close to zero. For Republicans, North Carolina is necessary. It’s the key to control of the Senate.

It’s number six on my list. That is, there are five states where capturing Democratic seats appears more likely—West Virginia, South Dakota, Montana, Louisiana, Arkansas. Then comes North Carolina. Assuming Republicans don’t lose any of their own seats, those six pickups would give Republicans a 51-49 majority. And with it, the political equation in Washington would change. Republicans would be on offense, President Obama and Harry Reid on defense.
But winning in North Carolina is no cinch for Republicans. Two facts stand out. One, Hagan is extremely vulnerable. She’s a Reid follower who voted for Obamacare and most of the president’s agenda.

My experience says that Louisiana is a not a likely win. Landrieu always looks vulnerable and she always ends up squeaking to a win.
Hagan will lose NC.
She rode in on O’asshat’s coattails in 2008 and this state is doing remarkably better with a Governor and Congress both leaning conservative.
Obamacare is a disaster and she voted for it.
If the Republicans take over the Senate, I pray that one of the squishy Senators doesn’t decide to switch to Dem. They are truly desperate to hold their power.

The Democrats are now openly the party of anti-God, anti-RKBA, sodomy, communism, and abortion on demand. That it is so hard to dislodge them and easily take over the Senate speaks of how ill our society now it.
I believe it is terminally ill.
I think I’m like many people that think we are beyond throwing the bums out at the ballot box. I no longer believe that we conduct legitimate elections on a national basis, true or not it’s how many people feel. We seem to be run by an unelected bureaucracy, I see very little difference, right now, between the US and Putin’s Russia. I’m not really happy that I feel that way.
Even if Republicans are in the majority there are at least five or six Senators that cross the line on a regular basis. Until they are gone and we have dependable Conservatives in their place not much will change.
GOP will never get the Dead vote, which may decide the Senate.
Landrieu always looks vulnerable and she always ends up squeaking to a win.

It depends upon how well the Landrieu machine can mobilize the vote. Landrieu is
polling in the low 40%. Nov. 4, 2014 is still a long ways off.

Tillis has the backing of what’s known by its critics as the Republican establishment. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Rifle Association, National Right to Life, and the super-PAC American Crossroads are backing him. The Chamber and Crossroads are running TV ads. An implicit threat comes with funding by the establishment, that it will dry up if Tillis isn’t the nominee.
Here's the guy we want: Brannon, 53, has issues, not all of them libertarian ones. He’s been endorsed by GOP senators Mike Lee of Utah and Rand Paul of Kentucky.
Anything might be better than Hagan, though, I suppose, but Tillis' supporters don't engender confidence.
Big difference. In Russia, Christianity is the official religion, muzzies are controlled, and queers aren't allowed to recruit kids.
Here? Not so much.

Probably Kirk, Mirkowski, McLame, Hatch, Linda (who we hope will be gone), but who else?

That’s always possible, but probably not likely this cycle. More likely is Angus King (Independent [caucusing with ‘RATS], Maine) coming over to caucus with Republicans. That may be OK but he would serve as a RINO reinforcement to the RINO faction in the Senate. The Republicans should not allow him to vote for leadership positions, etc. but otherwise allow him to caucus with them.

Also remember that Oil and Gas resources are very important to the state of Louisiana. Landrieu
was placed on the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and made Chair
Person earlier this year. To me that was an effort to enhance her election possibilities.
You aren’t wrong, since man is terminally ill period. Human “goodness” exists, but it never has been or will be “good enough”. Thus the Lord Jesus!
Society has been more or less restrained throughout history by God’s civil authorities and the mysterious working of his Holy Spirit. It’s not scientific, though. Many inequities necessarily befall a fallen race. I don’t think we know a fraction of the horrors we’ve been spared by His invisible workings.
The horrors that have occurred I chalk up to the price of the Fall. We are spared from the wrath of Almighty God through Christ (if we call on his name), but we—I.e. humanity— are not spared the ripple effects of our rebellion in Eden.
