The Obama administration once again has punted on a final decision for the Keystone XL pipeline, announcing ahead of the holiday weekend that it is extending a key review period indefinitely -- a move that could push off a determination until after the midterm elections.
Republicans, as well as red-state Democrats who want the pipeline approved, slammed the administration for the delay.
"It's absolutely ridiculous that this well over five year long process is continuing for an undetermined amount of time," Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.H., said in a statement.

Well y'all keep trying to be “bi-partisan” and “reach across the aisle”, what do you expect? None of you will call Hussein to account in any meaningful way. So you just have to hope that the voters miraculously know which side to blame, and since you won't confront their lies and propaganda, they probably will blame the wrong side.

Why is it ridiculous? The fate of the economy, jobs, energy policy, national security, all are far lower concerns than womens’ access to contraception, and the clean and freshly washed feet of illegal immigrants when it comes to cobbling together the winning mishmosh of elements the DNCC believes it needs for electoral success.

It's ALL about the campaign cash.
The right thing obviously is to build the pipeline and create jobs.
But Obama will lose millions and millions from the enviroNazis if he does so.
It's completely disgusting.

Now don’t be cross...we all have to line up and vote for them ‘no matter what’. So I hear.
Lets do that and ensure Barry gets away with this too. Because he doesn’t need Democrats. He has liberal republicans, elected my ‘us’ to bail him out. Of F and F, of Bhenghazi, of the IRS thing....all sorts of lesser evil!

I find it hard to believe that Obama would lose so many of his slavish loyalists that this could over-ride a veto if a Keystone bill went the legislative route.
All talk.

Heidi should know all about delays and litigation. I believe at the beginning of her career, she was an EPA lawyer.

"This decision is irresponsible, unnecessary and unacceptable," [Sen. Landrieu] said. "By making it clear that they will not move the process forward until there is a resolution in a lawsuit in Nebraska, the administration is sending a signal that the small minority who oppose the pipeline can tie up the process in court forever. There are 42,000 jobs, $20 billion in economic activity and North America's energy security at stake." It's your party, Mary, baby. And your vote in the Senate is one of the things that keeps them in power -- and keeps your state behind the eight-ball.
Ergo, it's time for your party -- and you -- to go.

With 11 Dims "on record" (liars all, looking for cover), the House should pass a Bill exempting Keystone from further review and debiting the budget of every Federal Agency by 10% for every month it is delayed hereafter.
THEN we'll see where those so-called "moderate" Dim Senators really stand.
That's how Newt would have handled it in the olden days.
