On Wednesday Tracy and Mary Finney of Marietta, Georgia were met by a police officer outside their childrens public school and informed they were trespassing on school property because they opposed the schools process of testing all children.
The Finneys, whose children attend West Side Elementary School, had decided to opt their children out of Georgias state test, the CRCT.
~~~snip~~~~
Meg Norris, an organizer of United Opt-Out Georgia, told Breitbart News she is shocked at how the mandates to test children are being enforced in Georgia.
Its happening in schools all over Georgia, Norris said. Even children who are autistic must be tested.
Because of federal mandates, they are putting children through this, she continued. One child missed the first day of testing and the entire class was refused ice cream, leading to that child being bullied by his classmates.
Norris explained that this year is the final year Georgias CRCT is to be used. Next year, the test is to be replaced by the Common Core-aligned PARCC assessment. They say the CRCT was aligned with Common Core, she added, but I dont see any evidence of that. As far as I can tell theyre teaching using the Common Core standards, but using the old CRCT to test the children.
Norris, a former teacher, said she taught the Common Core standards for 18 months and could see what it was doing to her students. She added that Common Core has become a major issue in the elections this year.
I just wont vote for any politician who supports the Common Core standards, she said.
It’s like we need another Bundy Brigade every 10 minutes.
Since when do they serve ice cream in schools? Does Michelle know of this?
Melissa Harris-Perry
Fixed it for you.
Teacher unions part of this, I’m sure.
F*ck these cl0wns. How did they know which parents to accost? THAT is what is more important.
More tax money wasted. Like they don’t have real criminals to catch?
The cops should be fired. I’m getting sick of all these a-holes “following orders”. And then they whine like libs with “it’s my job. I need to feed my family” crap.
Screw their families.
We will unfortunately need to see a lot more of this to break through the wall of stupid that led so many otherwise normal people to support it and things like it.
Principles matter.
The tempo of resistance may have to pick up, but hopefully it will be peaceful, let the authorities use violence like Bull Connor did in Birmingham.
Make sure their violence is video recorded from as many angles as possible and widely distributed.....
If a police officer meets me at school about standardized testing, he ain’t gonna like what he hears and sees.
That’s exactly it.
you know they’re happy little nazis when they say we’re just following orders. like that exonerates them from any personal responsibility or moral thought.
zero-tolerance IS nazism - rules are rules, just following orders.
But its not called bullying when the government does it on behalf of a federal or internaional authority that wants to use Agenda 21 infoctination to convert your children into progressiv NWO citizens. It damn sure would if the police were there to force FFRF protesters at a nativity scene, right?
Simple they do this stuff, STOP paying the Scrool Tax Bill when it comes in. Spend that money on Homeschooling.
Crct is crap. An A student can be held back a year if they freeze on test day and they put SOOO much pressure on these kids. My daughter had indigestion three days before
“whole communities”?
Doesn’t she mean village?
In fact, we do. We, as citizens, ought to literally up in arm en masse at the entirety of this government, from top to bottom. All citizens, all the time. That is the eternal vigilance the Founders warned us we would need.
Benjamin Franklin is famously quoted, in response to a woman's question regarding the type of government we had been given, "A republic, if you can keep it."
If we can keep it, indeed. It's time we all started being keepers of the Republic in the manner the Founders would have prescribed and in the manner patriots recently demonstrated for us at the Bundy ranch.
This Smits woman needs to be tarred and feathered. Or, alternately, used to decorate a lamp post.
