Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin fired back against Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday calling him a "silly little man" after he said that he was not interested in invading Alaska.
Putin downplayed the value of Alaska during a question-and-answer session in Moscow today, pointing out that it was a cold northern territory.
“What would you need Alaska for?” he said, advising Russians "not be overenthusiastic” about the state.
“Mr. Putin, such a silly little man on this matter of invading Alaska,” Palin said in a written statement to Breitbart News, pointing out that it was obvious that Russia got “screwed” after selling the land to the United States in 1867 for $7.2 million.
“Sure, in hindsight your czars of old may have felt you got screwed in the deal when Abraham Lincoln’s Secretary of State scored on this enormously resource-rich land for just seven cents an acre, but that’s water under the former land bridge,” she said

The Radical Academic Socialists in the White House don’t understand Putin, and Russia for that matter, because to them, all “core beliefs” are fungible to political expediency.
To people like Sarah, and Putin, they are not.

Well, he was Secretary of State under Lincoln. Palin was right to use Lincoln’s name rather than that of an impeached prez. She could also have called him the Governor of New York.
He obviously hasn’t invaded Alaska yet.

You don’t think Putin would like to engage in banter with Sarah???? She’d be a whole lot more challenging than zero....not to mention better looking. And then there is the respect issue....zero gets zero from Putin I’m sure.
I could totally see Russians emigrating to Alaska. They decide to start over in a new land, take tremendous risks to leave their old home... and settle in a place that is just as cold and miserable as the one they left.
Putin wouldn’t even hear of this much less care. He’s still president of his country, she quit as governor for no good reason.
