I may be wrong, but I think I just heard Sean Hannity say on his show that the TSA searches are okay. It happened just as I came across his show - so I must say up front I may have heard it wrong, or perhaps out of context. If anyone can correct this, please do so.
BUT, I think he said something to the effect of he's happy to go thru the process, that if it will keep us all safer, we should all just do it. Now I hope this was out of context, because there's about three major problems with that short statement
.he certainly cannot mean that.
Talking heads on major networks are to not be trusted.
I value my safety on an airplane more than any inconvenience.
I am a frequent flyer along with the family. This is different than searching me in my house without warrant. Or randomly stopping my car for a search without due cause. Common sense must prevail in life.
Actually I would prefer if TSA used profiling. But you know and I know it will not happen with democrats in charge of White House, Justice and Senate.
He’s a big government “conservative”, why wouldn’t he think they were okay?
you are really naive if you think this has anything to do with safety ..you have been fooled, and happily so.
evi-dadburned-dently.
“I value my safety on an airplane more than any inconvenience.”
Then you won’t mind stepping out of line for a little cavity search, eh citizen? *rubber glove snap*
I hate to sound like a broken record (or a CD for you kiddies who dont remember them or the God-given freedoms all those folks died to try to preserve for you) but here I go again!
The TSA began hijacking our freedoms the day they started the security crap at the airports many years ago. Some of us bi**hed about it then but didnt get much response. Fedzilla was conditioning us to accept more and more restrictions on our freedoms from day one. Looks like it's working, doesn't it?
But, of course, say you, didnt their system of NOT PROFILING do a splendid job by keeping those 19 muzzies off planes on 9-11? Goodness, if they hadnt been stopped, they might have killed over 3,000 people, knocked down buildings and...
Oh, never mind.
(In the post 9-11 world, anyone stupid enough to try to take over a commercial flight would be beaten to death by the passengers who realize thats to be preferred to hitting the Capitol at 600 MPH.)
It begs a question of anyone who has a real-world grip on how governments ALL governments operate:
Did anyone really think the situation would get better for the traveling public?
Having said that, this airport training of the public is essential to the success of Obozos planned National Defense Corps (or is that corpse?) street patrols. Can you say You VILL show me your papers in ebonics?
Necessity is the plea of every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves. (William Pitt, 1759 1806)
FOLLOW UP POST: TRIP TO NEW ENGLAND
In mid-2002, my wife and I flew to a family wedding in New England and changed planes in Philly.
With a 1 hour layover, we went to get a bite to eat at a joint in the then "sterile concourse." Our departing flight was in the same concourse.
Imagine my surprise when the meal came with one of those sturdy, white plastic knives with a serrated edge I pocketed and took on the departing flight. I later literally butchered a salami to prove that the knife was, in fact, a potentially lethal weapon.
Cutting (pun intended) to the chase, after 9-11, the next gang of morons who attempt to charge the flight deck of a commercial aircraft would be beaten to death by passengers who understand that if the flight was taken over, they would be dead anyway. They'd have nothing to lose.
If the TSA wants to keep planes from coming down, they should devote their efforts to PROFILING (just as the Israelis do) and inspecting the AIR CARGO in the belly of the plane, only 5% or so is inspected now. That's probably how it'll happen next time.
PS: For those really interested in the truth about how this Keystone Cops TSA operation FAILS TO PROTECT US, check out Please Remove Your Shoes available on NETFLIX and elsewhere. This troubling documentary examines the Transportation Security Administration's role as protector of the American skies, raising questions about the disturbing gap between the federal agency's avowed purpose and actual airport safety since 9/11.
It’s easy for him to feel that way since he flys on private jets and doesn’t have to screw with it.
Your fears don't trump my constitutional rights.

no, he apparently flies commercial, he was talking about his own situation.
Sean runs hot and cold depending on who he’s been talking to. Today he had been talking with Glenn Beck about the Bundy ranch situation so God only knows.
Glenn Beck has told Sean that all these crazy militia types are going to kick off CWII. Glenn says we must only listen to God as he points to himself. What a fruitcake.
Have you been able to stop the unconstitutional forced mandate to purchase health insurance?
Have you been able to stop unconstitutional restrictions on firearms in various places?
Have you been able to stop the unconstitutional limit on how much anyone can contribute to political candidates? That is a direct violation of 1st amendment.
I guess you will just have to live with TSA searches to enhance my safety.
Got it.

I am not a stupid conservative, who will happily board one of the 4 flights on 911.
You really are gullible if you believe the government BS.
Those who would give up liberty for a little temporary security deserve neither.
Only a coward is willing to give government the ok to violate the Constitution for a little promised security.
/johnny
Probably. Tell me, hadn’t you noticed he’s a dork?
No thanks, Heinrich Himmler.
I guess you are totally powerless to stop TSA searches along with the other 3 unconstitutional things going on :)
Other laws, I either avoid, skirt, or break if they are unconstitutional.
But then again, I'm a free man of conviction, with principles to uphold, who refuses to live cowering like a whipped pup.
I can be killed or imprisoned, but I will never kneel.
