The Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Texas released a chilling video in the hopes that it will help lead to the identity of a suspect who crept through a couple’s home and loomed over their baby as he slept.

The incident, which occurred on April 5, was captured by the homeowner’s security cameras situated throughout the home, including in the baby’s nursery.

I sooooo want to move.

Dogs are the best insurance. The gun MAY not always be available.
Besides the dogs wouldn't ALLOW anyone to get NEAR the house. The dogs would also allow you the time to get the gun and fire away. BLAM!!!

My husband always said that a shotgun was best: it's huge and it scatters.

We have a Rottweiler and a German Shepherd. They really are best of friends but when they play you’d think they were trying to kill each other.Great guard dogs, they don’t miss anything going on.Plus they’re strong enough to stop an intruder.

Alarms are so often triggered by chance. They go off so often that often people ignore the alarm. Lol. Sorry for the "oftens."
I remember the FIASCO of car alarms. They became so annoying that people stopped putting them in.

Garages are best.

I agree with some of the YouTube comments.

Looks and moves like a woman.

I have security cameras running here but I also have 4 dogs running through the house, too.

My camera footage would have ended much differently than theirs.

Ex-cons who now do public service teaching people what burglars avoid most during robberies list DOGS as #1.

You bet.
Even if one of them got shot, he would still attack, protect and defend until he dropped dead.

Smart dogs too.

Truly, dogs are a wonderful gift from God.

And very economical, too.

Fresh beef is expensive.

We use our garage. Our cars are never in the driveway so you can’t tell if we are home or not. Almost noone else in the neighborhood uses their garage for parking. They all use it for storing JUNK! They’ll leave a $50k car in the driveway and store junk in their garage. Stupid.
We also have a video system and an alarm system. If they ever actually make it in the house they are dead. We also have a dog but she will bark at anything so is not much help. Lol

That’s not a male, it’s a female with short cropped hair, the very slender neck is the biggest giveaway. Maybe the cap and baggy clothes were intended to create a more male appearance, which could either be an intended disguise or it could just be habit out of preference. Looming over the crib is a little sensational, didn’t look that way to me, but if there was more than a passing interest in the infant I’d say somebody wanted a child, and that somebody was female. Not necessarily this female, but a female known to this one.

Looks like a little MS13er type. That style is very common for the wannabe latino gangsters.

Also, one of the shots it doesn appear they have dog toys on the floor of the fireplace room. Where the heck is the dog if that’s the case?

Lol. WONDERFUL sign.

I walked by an empty police car a while back and I didn't even THINK to look for dogs. WELL, the two German Shepherds in the back of their car let me know that I was WAY, WAY too close to THEIR car.
WOW, scared the holy PIE outta me!

From the story:

According to KHOU, the burglar went onto break into another home in the same subdivision, but a dog alerted the sleeping couple in this house to the intruder, who was frightened off and escaped.

I installed the cameras after we had a “crime spree” 2 years ago.

Every single house along RT40 within 3 miles, either way got hit.

Except ours.

The neighbor down the lane got hit and they stole copper from his garage, which is not even 50’ away from where our vehicles were parked.

The one car had an iPad, iPod and iPhone in it and was *unlocked*.

Everybody else’s cars were broken into and their stuff stolen.

The night all this happened, my dogs went off but I assumed it was just a cat or deer moving around outside.

I may not have but apparently the thief paid attention to them.
