Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.”
The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth.
The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform.
“I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, that we as a faculty and staff and student body, as an administration, if we 10 years from now are as white as we are today, we will have failed as a university,” said Bruce Shepard, president of WWU, in a 2012 address...

Lets see here. They want more crime on campus, lower admission standards, fewer gruaduates, less competent teachers, lower enrollments, huge financial problems, and did I mention more crime?
Yep. If they want fewer white people, they can easily get their wish.
Tell you what deary, I’ve found it’s my attitude and aptitude that got me where I am today. I find that a lot of folks are where they are today because of the same things. However, I have also found that a lot of folks got to where they are today by having enough attitude to make up for a lack of aptitude. Some folks, also, have gotten where they are with the wrong attitude, and no aptitude, simply because someone with a quota to meet looked no further than “Race” on the application.

My retort was at the self-loathing female in your post, not to you. I’m certain you figured that out, but just in case we have some DUmpers lurking around, I figured I’d make that clear.
Maybe if the honkies go below 50% they will be allowed to start a White Student Union on campus.

Maybe they can offer advance classes in The Detroitification of Western Washington University.
If they can figure out how to transform the model Detroit and other formerly white cities used to to a college setting; then yeah.
They’ll acheive their goals in no time.

Bruce Shepard, I see racism in your call to reduce the number of whites rather than a plea to the black community at large to value education enough to put in the effort to earn more places in your school.
Bellingham is 95% white, 4% Asian, 1% black. Good luck with your plans, Sparky.
