Harry Reid on Bundy Ranch Showdown: 'It's not Over'; Rory Reid says Bundy should be Prosecuted

Following remarks Senate Majority leader Harry Reid made at the University of Nevada, Reno on Monday, the Nevada Democrat told Reno's KRNV TV his thoughts on the cattle controversy in Gold Butte. "Well, it's not over. We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it's not over," Reid said.

There is no question that there were a lot of things going on down there with breaking the law," Reid said. "And that is not over yet. We can't let that continue. So I'm sure it is not the end of it."

Reid was confronted earlier at UNR during the Q & A time after Reid's speech about the cattle issue by Kim Kollman a former teacher at Truckee Meadows Community College, The Reno Gazette Journal reported:

Citing Reuters News Service, the Drudge Report and another website, Kollman asked Reid if he was in collusion with his son and the "Communist Chinese" to forcibly remove Bundy from his property to help bring more solar energy to Southern Nevada. Kollman said Reid was "papering over" the question of possible collusion.

Reid replied, "That is an easy question to paper over. Do you know what you just said? Please read something else. And that is how I'm going to respond to that question."

The crowd applauded Reid. Kollman then asked Reid, "What are you afraid of, sir?" before Kollman was asked by an organizer to sit down, which he did.

~~~snip~~~
Reid was critical of BLM's inability to conduct a successful operation in Bunkersville saying, "The BLM shouldn’t have started this if they couldn’t develop a plan to finish it successfully.
Prosecute first, punish second. The BLM thinks they can skip the first step.
What a hypocrite.
Reid is an arrogant criminal.
It’s almost like Rory Reid has a say in this.
Or something.
“We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over,” Reid said.”
Members of the political class excepted, of course.
But, but, that is the very definition of the “Obamanation Transformation of the United States of America:”
* Benghazi,
* IRS Scandal;
* NSA Scandal;
* Mandatory Obamacare,
* etc, etc, etc.
Might want to start at the Ritz Carlton in DC which houses the POS.
Can anyone explain why Reid is involved in this anyway? This doesn’t seem that the US Senate should get involved in what clearly looks like a BLM/Dept of the Interior matter. Reid’s nose shouldn’t be anywhere near this issue. That is unless he is personally involved in facilitating a particular outcome. I say follow the money on this one. Someone is profiting. If the cattle grazed there for 100+ years, it seems that the tortoise and cattle have gotten along in the past. Why now is it a problem?
"Well, it's not over. We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it's not over," Reid said.
I think Reid is getting a bit senile, and said something he didn't mean to.
He could have said, "We can't have people that violate the law." I think that's what he meant to say. But he didn't. He said "We can't have an American people that violate the law." In other words, he actually seems this just as we do: A tyrannical government ("we") versus the American people as a whole, or at least against those willing to stand up for their rights.
Reid represents the all-powerful government, which cannot permit the American people to stand up against anything it decides to impose on them. And in this instance, Reid IS the government and the law.
But I don't think he meant to say he was putting down the American people. Just some people who were behaving illegally. Still, that's what he said. An interesting admission, and I think probably unintended.
Is this Rory, the son of Hairy Reid, the same Rory that ran a political campaign under the name Rory only because the last name of the crook Hairy would ruin his campaign? The guy that omitted his last name in ads while he was running for office? Well yes, I believe he is the inbred son of a Hairy Reid.
Boy, Rory Reid sounds really intelligent.
It's an amazing coincidence that one of America's most articulate lawyers just happens to be the son of the Majority Leader.
Arlen Spector always had a pat answer when he was caught by a question he didn’t think he should answer:
“Ahh, that’s not within the purview of a United States senator.”
Sen. Reid should not be expressing an opinion in this matter. More so, if his finger prints are found anywhere near the BLM decision to go all tactical on Bundy.
