300 are probably ground-support crew for the F-16s, (mechanics, weapons speciaists, supply personnel, and a security detail or two).

They will also be gathering more valuable Intel on operational S-300/400 systems. Each time they go airborn the Russian systems will come up and be recorded.

Poland has been using F-16s for years. This is nothing more than appeasement by Obama....kinda like a pretend missile shield.
