Posted: Apr 12, 2014 CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
A woman in the southwest suburbs says she woke up to find armed DEA agents pointing guns at her -- all because she shopped at a hydroponic garden center.
Angela Kirkling was driven out of her bed in Shorewood at gunpoint. The DEA had started investigating her because she had made a purchase at a hydroponics shop.
Agents say they thought she was growing pot indoors. Police had also been digging through her garbage and tracking her electrical bill.

A true Yossarian moment.
I wonder if that applies to Amazon/Internet purchases? Wouldn't that level of opportunistic surveillance suck? It's a looting excuse.
If you have drain cleaner, clorox, pvc pipe or a whole host of other items then you have bomb making materials.
This is clearly covered under the “cudda” clause in the constitution..
As is “she cudda been growing pot” so we have a right to search her house.
Don’t buy a shovel or “you cudda been trying to bury a body”.
No it could stop before this. The goons will mistreat whoever they are allowed to mistreat. The goons that were content to sick dogs and fire hoses on protesters in Birmingham in the 1960s were a kin to the goons where were willing to mistreat abortion protester in Atlanta in recent decades. The goons will always be with us seeking government jobs so they can abuse others.
The question is what will our laws allow them to get away with. If the courts and the Congress make them respect the 4th amendment, they will look for others to abuse, but to keep their power they will do as told.
“Drain cleaner, Clorox, PVC pipe “
That means just about every homeowner in the u.s. is in that category... extra pipe left over from that repair job, the stuff used to clean out said pipe, and everyday cleaning agents.... :0
BrownShirt tipping point alert.
Just the beginning...........
"...Slowly I turned...inch by inch...closer... just one more step and...
How much did that little act of domestic terrorism cost the taxpayers, and which is worse, the suspected offense, or the intended cure?
I guess that means all of us then.
“She is facing misdemeanor possession charges...”
So she was a dope head. Cops were on to something.
Article heading makes it seem like she was little Miss Totally Innocent.
Practically, our laws are a moot point right now. They are being flaunted daily by this Presidency. Further, if anyone expects our RINO Congress to do anything about it, they are sorely mistaken.
We are INFESTED with rabid ideologues wanting all the power and control they can gain over us, and those RINOs currently in power all to willing to cede the finer points [ha!] of politics to subservient loyal opposition bathed in second tier power. They are all despicable. You can see this by all the RINO appeasers choosing to desert their posts for greener retirement pastures [dachas]. They have no shame.
We need an exit strategy for America’s longest useless war, the war on drugs.
I’d bet you she’s done more than a few lines.
Even if she was guilty of growing pot indoors I don’t understand where people have gotten to the point that it would merit police busting into her home and waking her up at gunpoint. If she had a gun on her bed stand for protection and made movement to grab it, not knowing that they were there to “serve and protect”, the police could have killed her and the punishment would have fit the crime.
Were any dogs shot during this raid?
So if you have weed in your trash you are a pot grower. If you do not have weed in your trash you are a well disciplined pot grower.
I’m shaking my head out of disbelief that anyone would merit so much as a sideways glance for personal possession/growing these days. Incredible waste of taxpayer-paid resources.
Is that the same force that found tea used for iced tea in a family’s garbage and busted into their home?
