The U.S. Bureau of Land Management announced today that it was ending its effort to seize Cliven Bundys herd of cattle that has been illegally grazing on federal land. The reason the BLM suspended the cattle round up was to protect the safety of federal employees and members of the general public. Bundy and a smattering of his right-wing supporters have threatened to wage a range war if the government continues with its effort to enforce the law. Let that sink in for a minute. The government is halting their efforts to enforce the law because of the threats being made by Bundy supporters.
In other words, the threat of violent opposition to the federal government enforcing current law, caused the government to back down and yield to the demands of domestic terrorists.

I don't know if they're going to publish my comment or not, but this is what I wrote:
It's too bad the federal government wont put this much energy/manpower/resources into protecting the border from illegal aliens.
I think it would do the liberals well to bear in mind that the flyover country that they sneeringly refer to is putting meat, milk, and bread on their kitchen tables.
What would the metro regions do if the flyovers started to blockade the cities?

The BLM Army couldn’t even stand up to a little heat in the Nevada desert. A bunch of pussies.

Whoops. For anyone who still cares about things like grammar.... “...the BLM, among many other Federal bureaucracies, have...” That last “have” should be “has”

if they’re only going to enforce laws they want to and ignore others, and only go after their enemies and let their friends skate,
everyone ought to regard any attempt on yourself by fedgov as a personal attack and that means you’re an enemy to rhem, and need to protect yourself accordingly.
selective targeting and enforcement is not blind justice.

You are correct. We could have been reading in the headlines the next few weeks about members of both sides killed, gnashing of teeth, finger pointing and funerals and further division. Memorials of what America use to be. . . . . And of course investigations and hearings on what occurred.
Somebody should be commended for ordering standing down. But that no less demands hearings and investigations of what occurred to prevent it from happening again in the future.

Depends on how close you live to the Canadian Border and how long you have been listening to Canadian hockey broadcasters.
To: saywhatagain
Rustler Reid and his hand-picked and inserted BLM Director Neil Kornze are the ones who should be investigated.

"selective targeting and enforcement is not blind justice."
It's the very definition of tyranny. It's the Law coming from the mouth of Eric H0lder.
To: tcrlaf
Guess what? They wouldn’t have had to back down if they had not gone in as a small-scale, armed invasion to remove cattle.
Yes, Bundy is breaking the law, but now he has the full support of the public because of the way this was handled.
Sorry, Charlie, the BLM brought this on themselves.
