LAS VEGAS -- A deal has been reached between Bundy family leaders and the BLM, but not without some very tense moments.
Armed Bundy family leaders met with BLM officers Saturday afternoon in Mesquite to discuss the fate of the Bundy's cattle that the feds removed from BLM land, over the past week. The cattle are being held at a holding area in Mesquite.
Prior to the meeting, hundreds of protesters, some armed, tried storming the BLM's cattle gate, but weren't successful. The crowd was urged to wait 30 minutes and give both sides a chance to talk. An agreement was reached that the cattle will be released to the Bundy family later Saturday.
At one point, I-15 was closed in both directions, about seven miles south of Mesquite, because protesters had blocked the freeway. Nearly two dozen police officers and a SWAT unit were at the scene to keep the peace and assist the BLM enforcement officers to safely leave the area.
Protesters have been gathering all week in support of rancher Cliven Bundy, who has been locked in a legal battle for the past 20 years over grazing rights with the federal government

Yup! Now where is PETA? Where are the environmental groups to yell about the gassed tortoises? Guaranteed there will still be a few residual deaths over the next few weeks. Also, there will be weight shrinkage, so the fed owes for that as well.
In Rushville, Indiana; they charge into a man’s house and ransack his belongings; never charging him with a crime!
Ditto that!
Yeh, that’s another half-truth the BLM will toss in the MSM—”Bundy is ripping off the American People because he’s not pay fees for grazing cattle on the land of the American People”, when in fact the BLM still believes the fed owns it. Lie to the LIVs!! Lie to everybody and see what sticks!
“As I understand the issue, his family has grazed the cattle on this land for well over a century. They have always paid a grazing fee to the county. The Feds came in with the Bureau of Land Management in 1993 and demanded payment instead... the land was never officially transferred in ownership, just in management. Bundy attempted repeatedly to pay the county as he always had but was rebuffed. He refuses to pay the Feds for the “privilege” of grazing on land they don’t own.”
There is almost no truth to this paragraph. They never paid a fee to the county, and instead worked with the BLM from 1954 thru 1993. The federal government has always claimed title to the land. In the early 90s, Bundy believed the theory going around at the time that the federal government could not own the land and could not regulate grazing. In every case I know of, the courts have rejected that theory.
The most recent area of grazing is land he did not graze on prior to 1998.
How soon before these filter down to locals?
For BLM to fold like this tells me that the Reid Solar power story was a direct hit.....
...someone high up got afraid real real fast that dirt was about to be found out and is want to to just get quite asap
Now is not the time to back off..now is the time to pursue what the stinking truth is of this deal is

MOST DEFINITELY! The underlying cesspool must be overflowing with “connected” DimocRAT establishment types with dirty hands and dirty money.
The American people DESERVE to have someone get to the bottom of this. Sure there will be the standard Obama Regime stonewalling; but the House of Representatives has to pursue this ceaselessly and relentlessly. Hopefully someone will have the balls to do this-—and it will of course have to be some folks OTHER than the Boehner and Cantor cabal who are ruling elite bed mates of Harry Read and crew.
kinda...
The original reply of mine that started the whole “spelling” chain of errors wasn’t meant as a spelling nazi post. All I was trying to say was that I had an amusing mental picture after thinking about surfer dudes appearing before the king.
Then I went and misspelled it “Cerf” and now I am picturing Vince Cerf, the “father of the internet” (The other one, not algore) standing before the king trying to explain HTML.

I hope its clear to Reid and the BLM that what goes around comes around.
Did they learn NOTHING from the Shovel Brigade??
Well, the Nevada cowboys will be faster on the draw next time too. This was a first time. Mistakes will be corrected and readiness will be greater.
It will come to that I am sure...
Oh - I’m sorry I thought you were the original miss-speller. I try to spell correctly - and I do notice when others don’t. BUT - seeing those signs from the ranch puts spelling errors into perspective.
I have just begun to read a book about the Lewis and Clark Expedition. In the forward it warns that Lewis’ spelling and grammar isn’t the best - but he moves the story along well. I guess!
And yes - I had the same chuckle at the image of a couple of surfer dudes in front of the King. (Come to think of it - I think there WAS a goofy comedy along those lines with time-travel, etc.)

Just curious:
Had anyone else found/posted this notice I came across in the Federal Register?

Im told that the State of Nevada has 82 % of its land under Federal Control.
What is the % of that 82 % under the control the Federal Bureau of Feudal Land Management for re-distribution to Commune-organized Obamanation?
Maybe Nevada Feudal Lord Reid, or his Commie Son might know - - - ?
Dana Loesch said if those cows were illegals the feebs would be there handing out EBT cards.
No one ever nothings my misspellings when I am talking to them...
