The Tea Party zealots who havent learned from their mistakes in 2010 and 2012 are trying their best to screw up the GOPs chances to win the Senate this fall.
Where does the Tea Party find these people to run in primaries? Most important, why do they offer them up as legitimate Republican candidates?
The Tea Party bosses have been listening to too much talk radio. They seem to think that what makes a good Republican candidate is someone who sounds like a talk radio host.
But talk radio is all about bombast and attracting callers, not about winning elections.
If Republicans are going to win general elections in 2014 and beyond, weve got to put up principled conservative candidates who sound like senators, congressmen, and governors not kooks.

MR jumped the shark a while back
I’m really disappointed to hear MR talking like Rove.
Okay Mike, who was the last PRINCIPLED CONSERVATIVE that the GOP put up?
Another one bites the dust.
Didn’t your mom visit fortune tellers?

Apparently he has jumped the shark. I’m very disappointed that he has apparently been corrupted/misled into supporting the GOPe war on the Tea Party.
He’s been bought it would appear either that or just been on the liberal west coast too long and has lost his way. He didn’t used to be like this .
Then your dad was a kook as well.......................
Well, some of them are.
His mother was Jane Wyman.
He hasn’t made any good points? Where are Senators Todd Akin and Christine O’Donnell?
Is he dating Ann Coulter or something. Geeeeze.
This is meaningless without naming names.
He has a point. His dad’s nickname of the Great Communicator, undermines the crucial fact that Reagan was actually able to enact many of his policies. Many people can give a great speech and espouse all the right ideas - being able to implement them though is really what elections are all about.
I like Paul and Cruz, and would vote for either of them. But, I don’t see where either has a track record of making their ideas law.
Adoptive mother
Yeah I was watching a guy named Cruz on tv the other day and was laughing because he had the same mindset that I have, so I know he is a kook!
Wait a minute ... Ted Cruz is a Senator????
AND he might be the Republican nominee in 2016????
What a kooky world we conservatives live in.
in all fairness a few of these “tea party” candidates ARE kooks. It seems they are mostly opportunists who are not locked into reality.
We do not want to switch to a new fool just because they only slapped “tea party” on their resume.
We want THINKING brain active candidates who can not only walk the walk but have the brains to win an election.
