Ya think? I have five "Dollar General" stores within 5 miles of my house.
Along with a good handful of "Dollar Tree" and "Family dollar". And the usual Walmart and CVS and Walgreens, and Grocery Stores, too.
In my neighborhood, they're putting in one of those new "WalMart Neighborhood" stores (a stripped down WM). That'll likely put a stake through Dollar General's heart.

Where I live, I have Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Everything’s A Dollar, Dollar Time and Big Dollar Store, plus Family Dollar and Big Lots. I thought it might have to do with this being a distressed neighborhood. Seems that low income communities are fertile grounds for discounters and check cashing/payday loan businesses.
