What is the youth of Portugal doing as the country’s social structures continue to collapse? Where is the youth of France as the country drifts further into stagnation and irrelevance? Where has the youth of Britain been while the coalition government has persevered with austerity?
The answer seems to be that European youth has been battered by a “double whammy” of problematic access to education and rising unemployment, forcing young people to rely on family support and curtailing their independence.
Uncertain about the future and worried about jobs and housing, the youth of Europe shows no confidence and trust in established political parties. Significant sections have already been attracted to the nihilistic ends of the political spectrum, including varieties of anarchism and fascism. The left, traditionally a home for the radical strivings of young people, has lost its appeal.
Matters cannot continue indefinitely along these lines. Frustration is mounting among both young people and their parents.
However, if those who make policy refuse to acknowledge the problem, major change could be delayed for a long time. The result would be a massive accumulation of sullen anger across Europe, with unpredictable outcomes. Those who care for social development had better take notice.

The youth of Europe are following the glowing thoughts of moonbat Pelosi. They are not employed and can devote their time to art and individual growth, perhaps writing or music.
BTW, Domino’s Pizza has joined the list of companies to boycott. Domino’s is worse than Mozilla.
They are espousing the moonbat obamacare defense. Their current TV ads feature the art work of their 30 hour per week employees that have been allowed the time off for their artistic talents to develop. At least one however got it wrong. He thinks he is an artist for slinging together a pizza.
I’ve often heard it said that welfare doesn’t exist for the benefit of the poor, but for the rich.
If the jobless were starving, they probably wouldn’t be quite as listless and depressive about their situation...
The “youth”... probably too busy texting, tweeting, Ipading, etc.
If the US does not disengage from the fiat currency soon, it will most likely dump the US Dollar and issue a new currency for the Americas, called the American Dollar spanning from Canada to Mexico initially and eventually gobbling up the whole of North and South American creating another Trade Zone. I believe that the US is going to do thru immigration what NAFTA could not accomplish due to strong Democratic Unions politically; once the immigration issue opens boarders in the US from Mexico, the floodgates for the new Trade Zone will have been established and the American Dollar will reign supreme.
Eventually, there will be 5-7 Trade Zones based on zones of interest for Russia, China, possibly India or the old British Anglo Empire.
If they had to hoe and weed food crops all day from sun up ‘til sun down to feed themselves they would’t have time to become disaffected.
Sounds like they are doing the modern American dream ...acceptance of mediocrity or...”Embracing the Suck”.
If the young are doing what is described, it’s then GAME OVER for Greece, as it existed for thousands of years.
With young adults now staying home with mom and dad well into middle age, there won’t be room for marriage in their lives and therefore no kids.
So the already-pathetic birthrate there will decline even more, and a vacuum will develop that will be filled by some type of culture - maybe Muslims from Africa, or maybe Turks move in and finish them off.
But it’s over for them, and that was always the DREAM of the Socialists, because if one culture in the history of the world is responsible for all of the HORROR that has taken place due to Western Society, it is clearly the Greeks - for without them virtually nothing that we know today would exist (including the computer that I’m typing on).
...and the Greeks have NO ONE to blame except themselves - they could have told their Socialists that their ideas were crazy, but no, they drank the Kool Aid and the rest is history.

Their population shortfall will be “backfilled” by immigrants and probably not ones who improve the society.

Be careful how you word your ideas, and what you wish for. The New World Order also talks of establishing zones of peace and zones of trade. The difference is that their IMF/Fed pals want these zones to be something else entirely, all based on one world currency controlled by an international cartel.

The Americas' Dollar, or American Dollar will be the North-Central-South American Union Currency. I have no doubts. Back in the early to mid-90's there was a lot of speculation that NAFTA would create the beginning of the Trade Zone with Canada-US-Mexico initially, followed by the entire Hemisphere falling under one financial currency. In those days, it was felt the US Dollar was about 60-70% overvalued to make this a reality for the likes of Pedro and Maria in Mexico and those from countries South of the Boarder. It was also a neat trick for the Democrat Party to use immigration to implement what the Unions would block by enjoining Mexico into a closer economic union with the US. Eventually, we may see China and other hostile trade partners get short-changed with the currency issue if we have disputes unworkable in G8.
Today, the World Bankers (G7/8-20 and IMF) have achieved the beginnings of parity across the globes currencies, allowing valuations for products and similar sizing of products to make international trade standardized. In order that the entire Western World work together, it requires the US Standard of Living to recede, which we are seeing in the Age of Obama - his policies are really just making way for the Americas' Union to mesh nicely with the EU on all issues. Eventually, products will cost the same in Europe and the US, and it takes a realignment of the US Free Market into a crony capitalist model with a social welfare state to underpin the workers across the economy; while I believe Europe is experiencing a complete failure of their Social Welfare State and pulling back from the tax system in small measures, the US is rushing headlong to joining them.
What country would relinquish its right to set punitive tariffs on imported goods in order to protect its local manufacturing of those same goods?
What country would relinquish its ability to tweak taxes/labor in order to encourage foreign investment.... look at the govt subsidized movie business in Vancouver, B.C., taking a significant portion of Hollywood production. I don't know all that much theory, but I doubt Canada would unilaterally stop this behavior.
What country would inflate itself to death so the good folks in Zambia can afford to buy a case of beer for 5-cents of their currency?
It's quite simple, from my own personal opinion. I don't want my standard of living to "recede", as you say. We, and our forefathers worked too hard to build what we have, simply to let a bunch of communist yobbos at the U.N. take it all away from us. I'm for cultural and economic sovereignty. The IMF and the Fed can go to hell.

As in Nazi Germany the average person was apathetic, the devious and ruthless will win the day. That’s why we could very well see Golden Dawn win power in Greece. And then all bets are off.
Embracing the suck is the new normal.
Actually, I don’t know what’s worse for Greece. Ideally, they have a “vivid” debate on re-population by other cultures. But in reality, they will simply jail the side that has a problem with re-population.
So it leaves it to people that have nothing to lose, and that results in violence and lots a bloodshed.
But the alternative...becoming like Lebanon in the 1980s (a fairly even mix of Muslims and Christians), and then descending from there to be a Muslim-only state - that also doesn’t sound to good.
But, most likely, the new majority there will simply invite Turkey in and ask to be a province. And then Greece, as it has been know for millennia, will simply CEASE TO EXIST.
I think Greece will eventually vote to join Russia for protection, since they are both Orthodox.
