Abolish the epa.

But who the heck uses wood stoves? And if you’re in the middle of nowhere how would the epa know anyway?

We are so screwed.

I do...saves about 25-30% of electric useage on 20 degree mornings. Finally learned to place several cast iron kettles on the stove top. Each gallon of water evaporated as steam gives an additional 8000 BTU. And if you’re in the middle of nowhere how would the epa know anyway?

They do emit smoke, you know.

I do, for one. Not my only heat, but the main heat I use.

Lots of people in rural counties around here burn wood because natural gas is not available, and electric, fuel oil and propane are enormously expensive in an older home.

And there will be lots more now that we just had a propane shortage and price hike this winter.

Even if one has to buy their wood, which most don't, a $150 cord of wood/mo compared to a $700/mo gas bill....no brainer

I had a friend install a really nice septic system on lake front property. The Corps of Engineers showed up with satellite photos showing the complete lay out in infrared. THE UNDERGROUND PIPE AND TANKS ON INFRARED! They made him tear out a $6K septic and replace it with a $14K aerobics system.

Yea, they will know.

I live rural where the power goes out every few months for over night to ten days. You need alternative heat and cooking. Without wood heat and cooking we would be toast in a long outage.

I use two wood stoves, and I do live in the Back of Begone.
The EPA can just kiss my hairy Redneck Ass, or get a natural gas pipeline up here free of charge to me and the rest of the citizens of this country.
They steal enough in fees and fines, so let them pay for it.
