Jimmy Carter weighed in on Friday on whether Jonathan Pollard should be released from prison as part of current Middle East peace talks, saying he would support freedom for the spy if the Israelis were to fully accept the deal from Secretary of State John Kerry.
Carter said in an interview that he would agree to the release of Pollard, the U.S. naval intelligence analyst currently serving a life prison sentence after a 1987 conviction for providing classified information to Israel, only if certain conditions were met.
If the Israelis would agree to accept John Kerrys proposal, if Pollard was released, I would say yes [to supporting freedom for Pollard], the former president said. But I would make it an absolute swap and a certain thing, not just as a factor.

Free Billy Carter. We need him now more than ever.
obligatory sarcasm comment made for the sarcastically challenged.
Can you imagine growing up with such a boob for a brother? I don't know how Billy managed it.
Any wonder why he was the second worst President in modern times? We all know who in number one. Sheesh, can this man be more anti-Israel and pro Pali murderers? He makes me sick.
The treasonous Pollard obsessives have found yet another scumbag.
The whole Pollard matter is moot since the Pals have a one word vocabulary - no.
Anyone who thinks “peace talks” in any part of the world are hinging on the release of a spy like Pollard is delusional.
On my bucket list: to visit Jimmy’s grave after consuming a six pack of Billy Beer.
Is this even a big issue for the Israelis? They give a crap about Pollard? I seriously doubt it.
Carter just wants to put out a reminder that Pollard happened.
First I gave the canal away..........
Ducking Idiot...
Ah the former resident with the awesome foreign policy credentials weighs in on current affairs. Back when this idiot was recently out of office and spent a lot of time with Habitat, I would say well he was a crappy president but a good man. It really took Carter no time at all to convince me that not only was he a crappy president but also a small minded, vindictive, evil little worm. I’d say what I really thought, but it would not be appropriate to the forum.
To much peanut mold went to his brain....
The gas station/museum will be doing land office business for a while.
Did this stiff really speak or did his carcass just have another cadaveric spasm?
You can always tell when Jimmy forgot his meds.
