Names of six jurors who acquitted George Zimmerman made public

The names of the six-member jury panel that acquitted George Zimmerman in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin have been made public for the first time, after a new court order, records show.

Circuit Judge Debra Nelson, who had previously ordered the jurors' identifying information be kept confidential, granted access to the names in a ruling March 21.

Having a free society is just that. Yes the jurors should be published and well a the right to shoot the person that is putting you in harms way. Believe it or not we must stay on our own two feet and be counted. It’s the only way to restore what we have lost. If I was a juror I would be a little skeptical for my safety but that is my responsibility no one else’s. Back to individual accountability I know it’s scary but we must stand up.

Their employers almost certainly know they served on the jury, since they'd have had to get off work to do so. The harassment and danger to life and limb are quite real however.

I saw an article recently where he said a decision would be made soon, but didn’t give an indication about which way the decision would go.

It would have gone longer had not the Sentinel asked for the names to be released.

So, the responsible party should any harm come to the jurors is the Sentinel? Sounds right.

It’s rare to keep then secret. The old, established reason is that we don’t want secret trials.

The other side of that coin is any number of ACLU War-On-Christmas lawsuits based on an alleged “complaint” by an always-unnamed person who moved in, didn’t like what they saw, made the complaint, and moved out because of “fear of harassment”, actual “harassment”, etc.

We don’t want that on either side.
