AMAZING. Hollywood just killed God, and almost no critic noticed how it quietly slipped a green human-hater in his place.
I never thought you could make a two-hour film about Noah and his ark without mentioning God even once, but director Darren Aronofsky has managed it in his $142 million epic, which opened last week.
His Noah, played by a muttering Russell Crowe, prays to a different deity, a much nastier one called the creator who seems to brood on global warming.
Hey, what a coincidence! So does Aronofsky, who last year declared, climate change as an enemy of the people. So does Crowe, tweeting in most unbiblical language: F--- denial of climate change.
And in their film, Noah, they give us their creator, a vegetarian who really does want to f--- denial of climate change and put filthy humans in their place so, as Crowes Noah rasps, creation will be left alone safe. Beautiful.
As an agnostic, I should barely care which invisible being Crowe talks to, but this switcheroo is freaky.

I’ve got some “context” for understanding the comment. He’s been all over these threads giving support for the movie.
Big question, why did this movie land up in the number 1 spot? The news report even shocked me.
And demons are the good guys
Remember that Kevin Sorbo starred in a satire based on the movie ‘300’.
Now, the star of the movie ‘300’ stars in a satire film about Noah.
Funny how things end up.
I’ve read them ... I can just about remember one in particular now, who thought it was good. Another one engaged in a very very long discourse with me over it. And then a third one complained very loudly that I would DARE tell him what movie to watch - even though I never wrote anything to him in the first place. And then, this guy here is the fourth one that I can think of.
Good news! The Senate will land up in the GOP’s hands, that is a good start!
Did I read it right .... that there were no fertile women on the ark????
OK. Guess I misunderstood his comment.
I read it as “the only thing holding this movie up is that it’s floating on promotion money provided by political backers”.
I didn’t go to the movie. Did you? I am just saying that idiots who complain about the movie ended up having the exact opposite. I know you hate free speech but too bad.
Because it 'appeals' to the fantasy the liberals want to believe.
Global warming caused the Noah era flood?
Wasnt that just a few years before the industrial revolution?
Because the studio did everything they could in hiding the true intent of the movie, plus advertising that it was faithful to the Bible — and as a result SNOOKERED all those people before they could be warned that it is actually garbage.
This is a quote from one of the articles up above ...
The producers tried to keep these details secret from the faith-based public in order to not have a backlash from negative reviews that would affect the all important opening weekend box office. I learned about some of these details last year from a French graphic novel (which I was shown in Germany) upon which the films script was based.
As far as I know this was not translated or released to the English-speaking market, presumably to prevent these fictional elements from getting out to the faith-based American audience. Now, the secret is out and it is hoped that informed audiences will, like Noah in the film, judge this parody of the biblical account, unworthy of cinematic salvation.
Free speech happens to be what we’re exercising here to WARN EVERYONE to NOT SUPPORT this agenda in this movie with their money.
This is a mockery of God's Word. Feeding bile to a Biblically illiterate entertainment/thrill seeking generation eerily similar to the generation of Noah's day. (Genesis 6)
