Our good friend, RedMDer's beautiful wife, Lynn is in ICU at a hospital in Baltimore, MD.
Yesterday, the news RedMDer received from two doctors was grim, but today, another wonderful doctor said that he thought her condition was "treatable." PRAISE GOD!
According to the note I received from Steve just a little earlier tonight, he thought they might start Lynn on chemo tonight!!!
I am not privy to all the details and it's not my business, but please, please, pray for Lynn's complete healing, and add some prayers for RedMDer(Steve) their two, beautiful adult daughters and their two darling granddaughters.
Lynn has been to so many doctors over the past two years and now this. At least we have hope.
Dear Lord, please hear our prayers.
Father in heaven, I come to You today praying for my wife. I pray that Your Holy Spirit touch her today, helping her to get clarity and peace on the decision she needs to make regarding her work today. I pray that You will answer her prayers. That You will draw close to her, that she will feel Your presence.
I ask that she will see me through Your eyes, and that she will love me regardless of all my imperfections. I ask that I will be the man that she wants me to be. That our love for each other be built on the foundation of Your love for us.
I pray that Your will be done in her life. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
My Lynn is on a schedule of radiation Monday through Friday and has just completed week two of a seven week process. She is still also receiving chemo three days a week every three weeks.
She just finished round two of chemo yesterday. There are still 5 more weeks of radiation to endure and three more rounds of chemo.
We cut her waist length hair short last week because it is falling out. Oh well, that will grow back.
The last couple of days Lynn has not been feeling well and she isnt eating much because swallowing is difficult again. That problem went away for a while. I hope that doesnt mean that the cancer is growing.
Her balance, vision and stamina are not good. Sometimes we need to use a wheel chair to get around the hospital. A short distance for a normal healthy person of her age is an almost impossible one for her.
We are praying for a complete recovery that will allow her to see our grandchildren grow up. That is one of Lynn’s biggest worries right now.
Praying for you both.

Continued prayers.
Prayers for Lynn and for you, RedMDer. If it’s any comfort, a very dynamic friend of mine is going thru chemo now and she’s really tired. I guess it comes with the territory. But all of the people I know who’ve gone thru this ordeal have come out healthy in the end.
So, plenty of reason to be optimistic.
Continuing prayers.
Thank you for the update, dear Red.
Prayers for endurance and healing for your dear Lynn..What an ordeal to go through.
My continuing prayer is for complete healing. The Lord be with you both.
Prayers for your Lynn! And I pray she will let go of her worries and give them all to God! Rest and healing for her. And rest for you as well! :-)
For what it’s worth, I had chemo treatment for Hodgkins back about 25 years ago. It was very painful, nauseating, and pretty much knocked me out the first day after each treatment.
Probably it was not the same chemicals. But the thing is, pain, dizziness, and all that stuff is a normal response for such treatment, and doesn’t necessarily say anything about what the cancer is doing.
I had a lot of people praying for me, and that was a great help. Also, I was convinced that you needed to keep a positive attitude while undergoing treatment, although it was sometimes very difficult. But I really think it helps the treatment.
God bless Lynn, you, and your family. I’m praying for her.
Continuing prayers for Lynn and you, FRiend.
Chemo and radiation can each cause the side effects she’s having. When you talk to the doctor about it, I think he/she will give you reassuring info about that. I’ll keep praying that it is just side effects of treatment, and that Lynn will be given the strength she needs to overcome it.
Prayers for you and yours!
Two or more AMEN to all your prayers
Chemo and radiation is a horror to go through and you can expect her to be weak and sick because of that. I pray she will regain her stamina and wellness once it is over. Continued prayers for Lynn and for you too! ((HUGS))
Prayers continuing for you and your lovely.
I can’t even imagine what she and you are going through. I pray that God will ease her pain and suffering and allow her to watch your grandchildren grow.
RedMDer, I’ll keep you and Lynn in my prayers.
You, Lynn, and your family are in my prayers every evening at 2000 hours! We are here and praying for y’all!
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
I am so sorry for this situation. You are both in my prayers
