World Vision's American branch will no longer require its more than 1,100 employees to restrict their sexual activity to marriage between one man and one woman.

Abstinence outside of marriage remains a rule. But a policy change announced Monday [March 24] will now permit gay Christians in legal same-sex marriages to be employed at one of America's largest Christian charities.

Scratch that one from the donation list. The Bible was not written to reconcile God to man, but to reconcile man to God. We are doomed, but that was foretold.

World Vision HQ is located near Seattle (leftist sty). Wonder what factor that played into their decision?

well purity is a hard thing to prove, isn't it....I worry about Christians claiming they're "pure" when you know darn well most of them are sinners like the rest of us...

where does it end?....

I can't in good faith support gay friendly groups or organizations, no matter how "pure" they say they are...

there standards...

there are lines that can't be crossed...

Whoopee, now the polygamy gang jumps for joy, the guy marrying his daughter and George Michael’s new flame Jean-Pierre the pet gerbil included.

What manner of Godless perversion are these fools peddling? Armageddon Jesus will be targeting phony churches as tier one for the lake of fire.

Gay Christians in legal same-sex marriages?

Can’t walk with the Lord if pronouncing against ‘His Word’

It’s an abomination, putting mans rule over the Lord’s

I am sorry but homosexuality acts are UNBIBLICAL.
If you are accepting of those acts you are unBiblical.
God is NOT tolerant of sin,and homosexuality acts are unBiblical

Homosexuality is a judgment on America.

This needs to be pointed out consistently - homosexuality will not bring judgement upon our country; homosexuality IS the judgement. Romans 1:26 starts with “For this reason” and continues “God gave them up to vile passions.” “..men with men committing what is shameful”; so this is a judgement upon our society.

It also continues and says that they give approval to others for more and more evil acts. We see this today with our legislatures accepting homosexual marriages and the teaching of it as acceptable in the schools.

Note also that Romans 1:32 points out that those who approve of such conduct are just as guilty as those who engage in it.

The best they could probably hope for would be assent to a statement that the life Jesus desires is marked by purity of (and here would be a reasonable list including sexual purity either in singlehood or monogamous heterosexual marriage). More than that, and they would be taking on the responsibilities of a local church. But it would factor out the flamers.

Embrace the world, abandon Christ. This is their new corporate motto.

We’ve donated to World Vision continuously since 1973. We’ll be reconsidering that.

We've been sponsoring continuously since Feb of 92 and have donated extra during emergencies. I'll be looking at alternatives for sure.

It currently is “tolerance” but with the strong “gay push” that can soon slide into approval.

Like I said, World Vision looks like it did not have any purity standards, and this forced someone to ask it the question, and we have the revolting answer.

It’s a judgment and chastisement on the people for sexual laxity. And this laxity began long before “gay” became a visible factor. When the divorce stats for people who claim to be Christian look the same as those for people who don’t, something is rotten in the state of Denmark. Homosexuals were very correct to see hypocrisy though they were wrong to use it as an excuse. Adultery is adultery; this is only a particularly visible kind.

HQ is actually Federal Way, about 15 miles south of Seattle.

There is someone in my church...he is employed at World Vision HQ. He is married to our pastor’s oldest daughter. He has always struck me as a godly man. I am wondering what he’s thinking.

I'm coming to the conclusion that when the Rapture occurs it really won't be as cataclysmic as many predict (ala Left Behind, at al).

Why? I don't think there will be that many true Christians walking with God when it happens. There will be a lot of false Christians, like those mentioned in the article, who will deny the Rapture because they weren't taken.

The older employees from a more virtuous age would be taken aback, I’d expect.

I'd like to know why as well. Why should Sodomite marriage be elevated above opposite-sex co-habitations?

Hate to read this as support for Sibonginkosi is through World Vision. Perhaps it’s time to remove that support...
