Can we save America? That question is asked every day by the conservative media and its followers as we ever spiral unto our national doom at EXPONENTIAL speeds. My personal opinion is that we cannot and that Almighty God has given this nation over unto a reprobate mind and are now presently under His Divine judgment (Rom. 1:18-32). It is not hard to see this if we have eyes to see.

Look at our outright rejection of Almighty God and His Word! Look at our super abounding lawlessness and its American inhabitants! Look at our lawless leadership! Look at our lewdness and national sex addiction! Look at our 55 million abortion since 1973! Look at our greed, callousness, envy, narcissism, violence and ignorance of rightness! Look at our crippling national addiction to Big godless government! Look at our addiction to technology and to the TV and movie industry ideology! Look at our moral relativism (spiritual and moral) and secularism! Etc...Etc... Etc... My dear friends, stand back and objectively look at our nation just in these last five years and please tell me that we will come out all right in the end? O How we need REALITY today!! One would have to be an absolute fool and delusional optimistic bubble head to say and believe that we can save this nation. Yet the false prophets of the right are peddling this lie and optimistic conservative kool-aid to its unregenerate conservative masses and to ignorant believers in the Savior and they are drinking it up by the barrel full. No wonder the Lord Jesus Christ stated that the Day of the Lord will come as a thief and His second coming from Heaven's glory even more so (1 Thess. 5:2, 2 Peter 3:10, Rev. 3:3, 16:15). There was... once a day that the tide could be turned but since 2008 we are at far past all restoration and remedies for our nation.

My dear friends, stand back and objectively look at our nation just in these last five years and please tell me that we will come out all right in the end?

We are at a time right now in America’s history when we are about to experience the full collapse of our Republic (socially and fiscally). Our nation’s debt and fiscal situation is at the absolute breaking point and our leadership knows it and is genuinely frightened at the fiscal and social tsunami that is about to take place. For the Left, this is their “perfect storm” and “the ideal crisis” to move their godless agenda forward. For this is their time to seize final control and power, set up a godless secular state and tyrannize the America people into making them absolutely dependent on them for everything. Thus is the fate of a republic when lawlessness has over come its inhabitants and has saturated their minds. When the collapse of a nation’s currency and social order takes place (After the Rapture), the massive vacuum will be filled with fractured nation, civil war and a fascist dictatorship and state. History continues to bare witness to this. We in our world of today have no where to go but straight into the Wrath of Almighty God and global tribulation (Rev. 6-19).

When Americans out right reject Almighty God's Person, RIGHTEOUSNESS, people and moral absolutes for time for a healthy society they are left only with Satan, tyrants, thugs, reprobates, immorality and its horrific consequences, violence and their godless selves.

CorporateStepsister is more right than some of you seem to be comfortable with. The analogy of the "alcoholic who must hit bottom before recovery" is true. This nation of ours is now intoxicated by the siren song of "where's my free $hit" - and as anyone who has dealt with substance abuse will tell you, you can't help the addict until the addict has lost it all.

Everyone talks about it; everyone feels it; everyone sees and reads it: there is something primordially wrong with the nation. They can't put their finger on it, they can't lay a name to it, but they all know it's wrong, that it's not the way it's supposed to be.

The Tree of Liberty has root rot, and the tree surgeon is nowhere in sight. But that tree is still putting forth seedlings which can be nurtured elsewhere until a mighty grove emerges once again. The Tree of Liberty does not grown naturally; those seedlings are born out of desperation and need, when the great tree must renew itself. That time of germination is now upon us.

Now, maybe CS said things that rile you and things that are repugnant to your sensibilities, but that doesn't take away from the rightness of the words. The USA, in its current incarnation as the United Socialist States of America, cannot be allowed to continue. The USSA is bankrupting us financially and morally. If you would restore the words of Jefferson, Madison and Patrick Henry, you must first silence the words of Cloward, Piven and Alinksy.

The big question now is, "How Do You Do That?"

It WILL NOT be done at the ballot box. Your rage should be directed against those Pollyanna naive fools who still cling to the notion that the Republic will be restored complete with rainbow skies, chocolate rivers and children playing with gumdrop smiles, just as long as we get "our people" in the next selection cycle.

It WILL NOT be done by the letter box. Another Pollyanna notion is that your selected officials actually listen to your online petitions and emails. Divest yourselves from that quaint fantasy.

Someone mentioned that this nation split apart once before. I submit to you that it's happened TWICE: once during the 19th-Century conflict, and again during the 1960's. The second simply didn't get the body count of the first, but the success of the second cannot be denied; this nation is now, three generations later, fractured along ever conceivable fault line. It will take only one or two more strokes of the hammer to shatter the gemstone.

The Great Societal Reset is upon us.

Amen!... But the thing nagging at the back of my mind is that someone, some intelligence has systematically brought this Republic to these ends and has plans for US after the reset. You may be right, Sarge...maybe the only way to refresh the Tree of Liberty is with the blood of tyrants and patriots. Personally I don't think we're there yet; I think there are still ways of fixing the mess without resorting to the bayonet. Granted, it won't be easy -- no sunshine and rainbows -- and will take a lot more dedication, energy and guts than Pubbies and conservatives have shown in a long time. That's a tall order, though, so unfortunately, the nightmare may yet come true.

Since a good deal of those who profess to be conservatives or patriots have apparently lost their guts for a fight -- real or political -- it's up to leaders like us to shame them into action. I have no problem with calling a coward a coward, and neither do you. Sad to say, the first step in saving this Republic is convincing many of those on our side that all is not lost. We have to do that first, before we can get to work doing the heavy lifting.

Here’s the deal, Man... Not everyone with a differing opinion is a Leftist troll. Hell, I even got flamed off FR back in the day for speaking against the party line - even though I was proven right and never got a single apology, everyone involved knows who was right.

Now in this case, one definite bit of proof is the simplest: both Stepsister and FYC did not just leave a stinkbomb on the thread, then leave. They hung around and backed up their statements. Trolls don’t do that; you’ve seen that trollish attack profile all too often.

The Big Green Machine taught me you never sugarcoat the enemy’s capabilities. Blowing rectal-smoke to the commander about what he’s facing in battle gets people killed. Stepsister and FYC both get it: by whatever euphemism you choose (the Rubicon, the event horizon, the edge-of-the-cliff, or Alea Iacta Est), this nation has arrived. Great Ghod, I wish more people would get it, but normalcy bias and Pollyanna dreams is what folks cloak their eyes with.

That’s the thing I will always love about Freerepublic: it’s likely the last bastion of the Interwebs where you get unvarnished thought. People aren’t afraid to put out their convictions in more than 140-character tweets. There’s actual DISCUSSION. And that translates into ANALYSIS. And from that begets WISDOM.

I’m not of a mindset to call them all trolls, Sarge. Some might be, sure, but I think a lot of them are simply newbies that are just as disgusted as we are and looking for a place to vent.

We were ALL newbies once, learning the ropes here.

I believe everyone has a right to their opinion and to speak their mind, and I’d fight to the death to preserve it - even though I may vehemently disagree with them and will call them on it.

My issue, as I’ve said before, is that I’m simply SICK of hearing the “We’re finished! We’re DONE! It’s OVER”! litany.

You know our history - places like Lexington .... Bunker Hill .... Valley Forge ... Fort McHenry ... Pearl Harbor .... Bataan ... Corregidor ... Pusan ... Khe Sanh... and a hundred other seemingly “hopeless” situations through our history.

Hell, if our people ALWAYS thought that way, we wouldn’t even BE a people. I’m not saying the attitude didn’t exist then, but it seems so much more prevalent now.

So yes, I might have come off like a Pr*ck to some, and that’s not intentional; it’s just increased frustration at hearing the same whiny defeatist BS over and over again from multiple sources.

So if someone wants to discuss valid solutions, I’m all ears. Solid plans, coordinated efforts, and ideas for solving our myriad problems - hell, I’m yer huckleberry. But the Frenchy surrender monkey stuff... not so much, ever. That just helps the other side and gives them a chubby.
