Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell (R) has parted ways with his Senate campaign manager and top consultant following months of campaign struggles.

Treadwell, once the front-runner for the GOP nomination to face Sen. Mark Begich (D), has posted weak fundraising totals quarter after quarter and has been eclipsed in the GOP race by former Alaska Department of Natural Resources Director Dan Sullivan (R). "I have had to make one of the toughest decision to this point in our campaign, I parted ways with Adam Jones, Campaign Manager. Rick Gorka, part of the communications team is also leaving," Treadwell said in a statement.

Treadwell’s campaign never got off the ground. The prudent thing for him to do would be drop out and endorse Sullivan.
Treadwell is probably not a good name to run for political office in Alaska.
Who’s the Tea-Party favorite in this race?
Treadwell is trying to keep his campaign local and grassroots.

Treadwell campaign slogans;
“if you can’t beat them, join them”
“Welcome, to the Machine”
“It’s alright, we told you What to Dream”
Thanks Clintonfatigued.
Why? He because he moved to Alaska as an adult (in 1997) and left for a few years to work for the Bush administration?
He has big outside money.
From conservatives such as the Club for Growth. So what? That's a good thing. It's gonna take money to beat Begich. There seems to be general agreement that Sullivan is the strongest candidate in the race.
Treadwell BTW supported Murkowski in 2010, in the general election over the rightful nominee of the Republican party. He says her "seniority" was "vital". He can go to hell just for that.
I agree with Clintonfatigued that the best thing he could do is quit.
Rasmussen poll
Treadwell 47, Begich 43.
Begich and Sullivan tied at 44.
Looking very good :D. Begich is far below where he needs to be. Low turnout election, he’s sunk.
sullivan is endorsed by karl rove’s american crossroads. condi rice is appearing in ads for sullivan. meanwhile, treadwell calls himself the real alaskan. beigch wants in on the primary. beigch calls sullivan a carpet bagger.
