Voted for Dillard because I thought he was the only possible impediment to Rauner, but even after three showers I couldn’t get the stink of that vote off my conscience. I would’ve preferred to go with Brady, but it didn’t look like he had a chance.
As awful as Dillard was, at least you knew who bought him (the unions, especially the teachers); Lord only knows who Rauner’s going to be scheming with, but I expect the very worst in this God-forsaken state. I truly despise that man for the way he manipulated the less-informed conservative voters, who find themselves in a state of despair over the corruption and incompetence in Springfield and the city.
A move across the Wisconsin line is looking better and better all the time (logistically it would be rough on the wife and kids though).
