Bruce Rauner declared winner of IL Gubernatorial Primary

Bob, you seem to be a post-and-run cheerleader for Rauner. Exactly how do you think Rahm’s RINO bestie is gonna bring about “change” (other than that of the best-known Illinois Combiner, Emperor Zero) ? You can’t seriously think this puppet is going to do anything but maintain the corrupt status quo.
Take a look for yourself: http://brucerauner.com/
The haters gonna hate, but Rauner is a successful businessman (which means he’s never going to please the ideological purists) who has never held political office before but has spent over $6 million of his OWN money to this point to try to break the Democrat stranglehold on Illinois.
Know what? I’d rather have Rahm Emaneul as Governor than the incompetent boob Pat Quinn.
Phil Crane was one of a kind in many ways, and he lost his seat on the charge that he had been in Congress so long that he’d lost touch with his constituents, including many who liked and supported him, but were frustrated by his disengagement. Bruce Rauner is running on a platform of strict term limits.
Besides, how can you not like a guy who posts this bio:
Bio
Husband & Dad
Business Guy
Harley Rider
Brady was preferable (marginally). Rauner, Dillard, Rutherford... all lousy.
"Know what? Id rather have Rahm Emaneul as Governor than the incompetent boob Pat Quinn."
*sniff*sniff* You got a smell, Bob.
“Rauner (RINO) squeaks out a win over Dillard (RINO). 40-37 with 97% in. “
It’s Illinois... RINO is as good as it gets. A conservative will not win a statewide contest there.
Which leech is the better leech is Illinois politics.
I was posting a reply to someone else, not running.
I take Rauner at his word, is what I do:
“I’ve given to four Democrats: Emanuel, Daley, Ed Rendell because he was head of the DNC and he was willing to take on the teachers’ unions when he was in Philadelphia and I wanted a national guy who was a Democrat and would do battle, and the other one is Forrest Claypool, who was running against John Stroger for Cook County (Board chair). Stroger was not a good guy. Claypool is honest and unfortunately he’s a Democrat, but there’s no Republicans willing to run in Cook County,” Rauner said.
I am absolutely a cheerleader for Rauner. You and I am disagree but if Illinois stays under the control of the democrat oligarchy led by Pat Quinn, I can say with good certainty that no serious reform or change is going to happen. I am more than willing to take the change that Rauner will be a man of his word.
Besides, I think Rahm has a lot better “besties”.
RINOs are how IL became a corrupt, Democrat state. Why bother putting up an opposition candidate when there is no ideological difference between them ? Either run Conservatives or fold up the party. Offer a choice, not an echo.
“Durbin will grind him into dust and the funny thing is, his supports will encourage to run yet again.”
Durban is one of the Senatorial “Sainted Ones.” He’ll leave the Senate on his terms only or by assuming room temp.
To Dillard? That’s highly debatable.
Some would say no because Dillard is pro-life and against gay marriage and Rauner is pro-choice and vaccinates on gay marriage.
The claim is that rats crossed over for Dillard. Jim Edgar (a RINO ex-Governor but a decent one compared to George Ryan) was Dillard’s #1 backer. Most of the establishment like Kirk and Tom Cross were for Rauner. Rauner bought himself a lot “tea party” support to go with his establishment support.
Rauner’s camp was behind the scandal that destroyed the Rutherford campaign.
Neither is acceptable. I voted for Brady who was a poor third.
Maybe I’m wrong and Rauner’s silver tongue speaks the truth?
Nope:
Abortion is a deal-killer for me.
I’m merely stating a fact here. I don’t like it any more than anyone else. Unless and until Chicago falls into Lake Michigan, a conservative hasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell of winning a statewide in IL.
It’s not even a question of conservative. Rauner (and Dillard) are part of the bi-partisan cabal that runs this state (the combine). Some of them are conservatives. All of them are corrupt and work together across party lines.
What reform, Bob ? What change, Bob ? I don’t take any politician at their word. Certainly not ones in bed with the most corrupt political machine in the United States.
Badmouthing others here for having actual Conservative standards and boasting that you’d seriously support Rahm Emanuel for Governor makes me wonder why you’re on this website. You have the distinct odor of a troll.
Pete Fitzgerald managed to win statewide and without the Combine, too. Conceding that a “Conservative” can’t win, then what’s the point ? Let the Democrats have absolute control. That’s the same crap the liberal establishment told Ronald Reagan in California in 1966 when he was running for Governor. “He can’t win. Only San Francisco Mayor George Christopher can win.” Christopher was another liberal RINO who would’ve lost to Pat Brown.
Every time our side concedes without a fight, we give legitimacy to the corrupt bipartisan opposition that takes our nation further and further down every day.
Ugh, Rauner sounds like scum. I hope he loses. Let the thugs in Chicago pull the trigger on the gun to the state’s head. Maybe once Chicago collapses like Detroit, the state can live again.
The Illinois GOP-E stabbed Pete Fitzgerald in the back. Because of the Illinois GOP-E, we got Obama.
A conservative won statewide for Treasurer in 2010, INCLUDING in Mark Kirk's district where Kirk's fans falsely claimed an unabashedly pro-life and pro-gun candidate "WILL NEVER WIN" a district like that.
The response from Team Rauner was to manufacture a phony "sexual harrassment" scandal like the ones used against Clarance Thomas and Herman Cain, in order to destroy his chances in the gubernatorial primary.
I'm not sure what's worse - combiner slime like Rauner, or "conservatives" who make excuses for them and suffer amnesia any time a conservative actually wins office.
Rutherford wasn’t perfect (Brady is more conservative) but he was the biggest threat to Rauner and has already won statewide.
That’s why the combine unleashed the “scandal” (that he sexually harassed/tried to gay rape some ugly bald democrat) and destroyed him.
If it had just been the democrats alone they would have waited to see if Rutherford won the primary and then unleashed the scandal in September.
Do you have an English version of that, so that we can figure out what in the heck you were trying to say?
