Just think. A couple years ago, Obama was trying to push unilateral nuclear disarmament by the US as a way to appease Russia and make the world “safer”. It looks like Putin couldn’t wait for Obama to do his part.

Says who? I once saw a post on here that said that Russian tanks were headed to Kiev. I laughed a lot. The tanks never showed.
On a major news network they showed Russians purportedly standing in line for bread. Sometime in the late 90's. BIG talk about the lack of food in Russia.
So we called friends in Moscow and offered our home to them if they needed somewhere to go. They laughed a lot. It was untrue.
There's a lot of misinformation out there.
But an attempt to "punish" Russia economically certainly could result in a market correction, for which it appears that Soros is well positioned. And that's about the only arrow in the EU's quiver: military action is, to say the least, unfeasible. And Germany needs Russian natural gas. And so either the EU does nothing or it does something damaging to itself. And Georgie rakes it in either way; not, to be sure, what he might have made off closer EU-Ukrainian ties, but not bad for a fallback.
