“According to KHOU, the father told sheriffs deputies that he saw McCormick drop his hands and he interpreted that as an attempt to grab something to attack him, so he shot the boy once.”
“I felt threatened.” always, always, always works to get a cop off for shooting one of us.
Every father knows exactly what the boys who date their daughters are thinking because they used to be boys.
Another good reason not to :;&$;:/;:$)/,()/ outside marriage.
Poor kid, either way. A bit extreme.
It was a black father shooting a black boy he found in bed with his black daughter otherwise the boy’s black momma would have a call in to Black Justice League and the Trayvonistas would be marching in the streets.
This is really stupid and there should have been a way out of it well short at killing somebody. If I’m on the jury this guy is gonna do at least some time.
Well .. I guess I saw this in a movie somewhere, but the dad of the 16 year old tells the kid he doesn’t mind going back to prison for murder.
My daughter, even before she is 16, knows I will dispatch the fellow so she wont try it alternatively she don’t plan on a future with him....
The LAT reporting this Houston incident? Where is the Crock O’ Bull on this?
Seems to be a lot of activity for 2:30am on a school night.
Is it spring break?
Some boy comes into your daughters room, and you execute the kid for it?
What if she really did love the kid? You want to kill the boy that loves your daughter and she loves him?
No dad wants to see their daughter deflowered, but holy cow Batman. Kill the kid outright?
Mother of teen shot to death while hiding in girls bedroom says ‘he didnt deserve to die like that’
The grieving mother of 17-year-old Johran McCormick, who deputies say was shot to death after confronted in a 16-year-old girl’s bedroom early Thursday morning, says the Houston man who killed her son should have thought twice about killing a child.
Depends on the truth if I am on the jury. It’s 2:30 in the morning, the girl lied and said she didn’t know the boy. At that point, if the boy threatened the man and the testimony reveals beyond a reasonable doubt that the man felt his life was in danger then it’s justified.
There are consequences to our decisions, and sometimes the consequences are tragic.
Terrible tragedy all the way around.
Darwin Award.
A bit extreme, if I do say. The daughter won’t be getting dates for a long time.
No way can you justify shooting a kid because he was in the wrong place and it is beyond incredulous that the girl did not know the kid was under her bed....
Dad shot him because he reached for “something”....could have been his phone...
From a personal experiance throwing the young lad out on his ass by way of the front door is far more statisfing than having to kill him....
