ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff has obtained a letter that an oil rig worker in Vietnam wrote to his employer claiming he saw Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 go down in flames.
Mr. Woodruff tweeted an image of the letter saying,

That’s right. The batteries should be dead. If the phones are underwater they wouldn’t be working, either. But this has happened to more than a dozen families; they place a call to a cell phone, someone picks up the call and then disconnects.
This occurred yesterday and was reported here on FR.
I’ve been following this situation for a while, it is now day three.
Like the one we have now?
P.S. After the Muzzie knife attack in China, killing 27 innocent people, I’m sure China is a bit trigger happy upon any Muzzie airline heading into their airspace. I don’t blame them. Not one bit.
SO vietnamese oil rigs hire Kiwis. Sounds odd.
“You cant be serious. If China air traffic controllers had ANY indication the flight has been hijacked for the purpose of crashing into their iconic landmarks, skyscrapers or population centers you can bet the farm theyd shoot it down without hesitation.”
The guys running the show have no love for the populace. Being as we’re from a completely different culture it would be almost impossible to predict how they’d react. Plus, they’d have to know it had been hijacked. I believe American plans have a switch they can pull to signal a hijacking. Did they do that? Certainly, nobody would just shoot a civilian plane down without justification. The potential repercussions are too large and unknowable. And, if they did, why wouldn’t they own up to it, as hiding it given the way everybody is watching them electronically would be much worse than admitting it?
Nope, I don’t believe anybody shot this one down. It’s either a failed hijacking, a spectacular mistake, or a mechanical problem.
I think most folks like that are contractors from English speaking countries who have attended schools like UT, Texas A&M, Colorado School of Mines, etc.
Just another reason we should drill everywhere we can find oil.
Sounds like an average morning at the NSA.
Sounds like they’re related to Obama.
LOL! Yup, TWA800 went down due to spontaneous combustion. Those dozens of eyewitnesses were on dope, or something...
I CALL BULLOBAMA on this letter.
The rig the guy says he is on is currently being used off the coast of CUBA!!!!!!!!!
Then I feel sorry for you. Where I grew up, someone who was "nuanced" had a corn cob shoved up their.........oops, sorry.
Since you obviously are college egucated, maybe you can explain to the unegucated exactly how one becomes "nuanced"?
but it doesn't explain the foreign date and time in the upper right hand corner of the email/letter.....
The closest rig to this Location is the TAM DAO 01.
@ 9.469483 / 107.8553
There is not a rig at the location in the letter.
This site has the rig off Vietnam.

Or it was successfully STOLEN and landed somewhere.
Stay tuned..
On March 11th CIA Directer John Brennan “confirmed reports” that Malaysia Flight 370’s transponder “had been disabled or turned off at some point during the flight” and said he is not ready to rule out terrorism as the cause behind the plane’s disappearance.
According to ABC News, Brennan was speaking to the Council on Foreign Relations when he said these things.
He said:
[There have been] some claims of responsibility that have not been confirmed or corroborated at all. We are looking at it very carefully. We, the CIA, are working with the FBI and TSA and others. Our Malaysian counterparts are doing everything they can to try to put together the pieces here. But clearly this is still a mystery, which is very disturbing.
Why?

“Im far more nuanced.”
That was intended to be read as an apocryphal quote from our esteemed president. Your interpretation of it, however, was dead-nuts on.
Whats the location at this present moment?
