I hope things work out too . . . but I laughed out loud when I saw this. So, the girl’s attorney — her BFF’s daddy, whom she was living with — saw the potential gravy train dry up? And suddenly the girl sees the light and returns home?
Uh huh. I get it.
I also bet the girl came back because her peers were giving her a load of crap about how stupid she was. I bet she hasn't learned a lesson so much as had no alternatives but to make up with her parents. It would take me a long time to trust this girl as a family member again.
I hope the parents were smart enough to get her to agree to earn her keep and possibly pay them back for the legal costs incurred by her moronic decision to take them to court. Probably not, though.
Her lawyer should be disbarred.........................
No, no — BFF’s daddy WAS the girl’s attorney. (I will not speculate as to whether Daddy Lawyer was also the mixed-up girl’s sugar daddy.) Since he was a lawyer, his fellow lawyers probably thought he was great. (Again, speculation, of course.)
Will most likely get an award from the State Bar Association.
I’d tell her that $$ is coming out of her college fund.
She’s 18 and no one has to support her if they choose not to.
I’m sure after “her” lawyer decided it wasn’t in his interest to continue representing and supporting her, it was explained to her that SHE was going to have to pay for housing, phone, food, etc,
and she “wised up”.
...In celebration, the father and daughter played beer pong until the wee morning hours.
Just kidding. Good ending, I hope, to an ugly story. Thanks for posting.
I doubt it.
She is probably dropping her lawsuit after her attorney advised her there was no way she could win, and that he would no longer be offering his services pro bono.
But, I'll predict she is back out on her own as soon as she graduates from high school. She'll go through her "college fund" quickly and find herself working for a minimum wage job.
After she finds out what it is like to barely pay the rent, groceries, utilities, and gas each month -- and otherwise be completely broke, she'll realize that she screwed up her best chance for a decent life.
Then, she might be ready to make a change.

I agree, that ambulance chaser (John Inglesino) funding her decided he was engaged in a financially losing cause. He really needs to be ashamed of himself for his attempts to destroy this family.
Me too. The little viper has circled back for round 26.
Her parents better be careful. Their little darling no doubt has a plan - and she gave it away in court by trying to claim her father behaved indecently towards her.
Watch out, dad.
“I hope the parents were smart enough to get her to agree...”
...in a written, signed statement.
Problem is, she likely didn't wise up. She's probably just playing the game and waiting for her next move. She's got no other option, so she heads back home. She'll lay low for a while and go along with Mom and Dad. But as soon as she figures out Plan B, she'll be out the door again. Watch!
Good.
I hope she begged for forgiveness.
Yup!
Believe it or not, in NJ (and a few other states), that's not true.
But, the precedents apparently apply to them kicking her out of the house before she finishes her education (which can include college). And, it's only been used in cases where the parents have split up -- i.e. making the absentee father pay for tuition.
Since she left the house on her own, and the parents are still together, the precedents apparently didn't apply.
