Just came over the Pinellas County Election website- David Jolly wins!
225 of 225 Precincts Reporting
Percent Votes
David W. Jolly (REP) 48.43% 88,294
Alex Sink (DEM) 46.56% 84,877
Lucas Overby (LPF) 4.83% 8,799
WRITE-IN 0.18% 325

Sink sank.
Definately a “let out a held breath” moment...
Now that she’s conceded the race... Yes it is.
I know better than to think this is too much of a good omen for this fall, but it is certainly heartening!
Tide. Turning.

Scott Walker actually gets results as a chief executive, instead of just running his mouth and dashing in front of cameras in the Senate. Of course he won’t be very popular around here.
Libertarian or stalking horse?
A true libertarian would run a good race and if no chance to win, he/she would step aside and throw his/her endorsement to the candidate that most closely matched libertarian views.
I am worn out tired of the Democrats continually winning this underhanded way. In the past, communist, socialist and green party would pull votes from the Dem, but now they just took over that party while they use stealth candidates to suck votes from the Republican hopefully more conservative candidates.
It’s marginal, but it’s the most historic GOP district in FL (held since 1954).
I understand the distinction. I hope he doesn’t go down the Bill Young road, but fear that he probably will. Still, MUCH better than Sink and I think that’s the best we can do in this district at this time.
Jolly was outspent 4 to 1. Sink won the district by 6 when she ran for Governor. Something changed. :-}
Well hell, can you blame us?
Verify BEFORE Trust is my motto.
I expect an uncounted box to be discovered at the local ACORN office. :)
We got 8(!) phone calls yesterday from the Sink Committee, including 2 live people asking for my vote. Also, at nearly 8pm last night, people were canvassing door-to-door in my condo complex asking for Sink votes. Then, this morning, on election day, we received 2 more recorded calls from Sink.
Well I get my strength from The Lord, and I suppose my optimism as well.
God bless,
friends.
Good news ! Bye to another dem.
Guess that libertarian candidate won’t be getting a Soros paycheck any time soon!
>>2010 Pinellas County Governor’s Race
Sink 50.52%
Scott 44.87%
Other 4.6%<<
Interesting. Sink beats the Scott in the county by nearly six points, and then loses to a presumably weaker candidate (Jolly) by two points just two years later.
I’m guessing these results are going to give a lot of Dem incumbents an Obamascare.
Opposing amnesty is extremely important, let’s see if he sticks with that.
I’ll do my part up here. Already an alternate delegate for the GOP State convention and am backing Tom Emmer to take Michelle Bachmann’s seat. He’s solid and will be an excellent replacement for her.
