Second Amendment: The administration's choice to be the nation's doctor in chief views gun ownership as a public health issue and not a constitutional right, and wants doctors to query patients about guns in their home.... ....gun-grabbing advocate Dr. Vivek Hallegere Murthy, Obama's nominee to be U.S. Surgeon General.
Murthy is the 36-year-old president and co-founder of the anti-gun group Doctors for America, which advocates ObamaCare and gun control laws.
His group, which has been dubbed "Docs vs. Glocks," has pushed Congress to ban "assault" weapons and "high-capacity" magazines.

36 years old???
Cheebus.. is there ANY adults running this country anymore?
Im wondering whether he too might not be a muslim.
Nationalized health care. I wonder if the Surgeon General is now one of the most powerful people in the country.

I think it’s a ceremonial office. The ACA gives all power for writing the rubber-meets-the road rules to the Secretary of Health.
Is he even an American?
Why do we have all these foreign people ruling over us?
Whew!
Am I glad we're a nation of laws and a constitution, and not of "feelings" and "views".
Oh.... wait...
“Under the radar”
Do you really have to ask??
He was born in Britain. I can’t find info on his current status as a US citizen.
Graduated med school in 2003, completed residency in 2006. By nominating him, the president is again sticking a thumb in the eye of nearly every physician in the country by insinuating years of experience and medical practice arent worth nearly as much as the correct ideology and a harvard degree.
More experienced than his would-be boss for the position, but by no means qualified or sufficiently experienced to lead a branch of the uniformed services or manage public health policy for the nation.
“..Do you really have to ask?...”
Ha! Not really. Just totally sick & tired of this invasion and a gutless congress that does nothing to stop it.
Yup. Already fired off my “feeling” to my 2 senators. One kinda good, the other the epitome of evil and the majority leader. I also fired one off to the majority leader slapping him around in regards to his constant attacks on the Koch brothers. Not that hairy reid-iculous gives a crap what his constituents think. But at least you gotta call him on stuff even if it doesn’t do much good. Hmmmmm. Is that a knock at my door?
Even ignoring the fact that we are supposed to be a constitutional republic and not a monarchy, this nominee is totally unqualified for the job if he bases policy on his feelings about scary guns instead of on science. Exactly how many physicians, when treating a gunshot victim, ask “so, did the weapon used have a pistol grip, a folding or telescoping stock, a flash suppressor or threaded barrel, a bayonet mount, or a muzzle-mounted grenade launcher?” Those “Assault Weapon” features are as irrelevant medically as they are tactically, and this fraud’s interest in them proves that he has no interest in either science or the Constitution.
LOL!(kinda). With all the new coding(150,00 new codes?) being implemented, you better have all the details in order to be treated. Or at least a video of the event so that all the “necessary” information can be ascertained. You know, make, model, date of maufacture, place of manufacture, color of item, accesories(sp)attached ........... You get the idea.
