I caught a bit of Rick Perry's CPAC speech today and, boy, does he have a fire in the belly.
Had we seen this fire in 2012, then perhaps he would have won the GOP nomination. Of course, Perry underwent back surgery which significantly contributed to his lackluster campaign.

Your WRONG.. Yes it is.. It's JUST that simple..
Corporate America is definitely on board in a big way and already orchestrating how the USA will “fit” in their picture.....CEO'S are talking it up and getting all excited....it is what it is....and Rick Perry is a big believer in the Global Push.
He came off like s stupid version of George Bush to me at that time.
That is what he has to overcome this time.
If Palin runs she has to overcome the press pounding her for 8 years.
CRUZ will get it from all sides.
The establishment and Democrats will push the Jersey guy to be the next Bob Dole against the Democrat.
“It’s JUST that simple..”
Not according to our history. Reagan himself didn’t just reduce his platform to fighting communism. I understand your point, and I respect your convictions, but it is not that simple.
Reagan himself didnt just reduce his platform to fighting communism.
When Reagan was Prez voting was at least partially honest in most places..
NOW IT IS NOT... voting is totally corrupt in MOST PLACES..
You’re a dreamer.. probably a Utopian.. Voting DIED Nov.. 2012..
Probably was dead long before that but it became OBVIOUS at Nov. 2012..
Well, our Founding Father’s were not realists. They were idealists, and men of conviction and vision.
You’re approaching the issue with a reactionary solution. Those in corporate America who are globalists don’t represent ALL of corporate American. Furthermore, free trade has been around for some time.
We are all, in many ways, a part of the global community. Whether or not we’ll adopt a United Nations/Global World governance remains to be seen. Would I be surprised in a complete adoption of international law and policy? No, but I’m not one to subscribe to the, “We-give-up-and-give-in-because-everyone-else-seems-to-be-doing-it” mindset.
“When Reagan was Prez voting was at least partially honest in most places..”
True.
“You’re a dreamer”
Not so true.
If voting died, as you stated, why would a simple socialism platform be a game-changer?
hosepipe, the strategy is to outline ideas and solutions which will influence those who are either unsure, disenchanted, or opposed to the conservative platform. You don’t sell these goals by saying....
“Socialism or Free Trade. Pick one”
And yet, you can’t take the time to spell her name correctly.
If by ‘being a Globalist’ you mean someone ready to trade and sell with any other business most anyplace in the world, that sound’s good. If Globalist means we in the U.S. end if having to conform to the rules of the European Union, I say no, because we will directly and completely lose our independence. It’s enough that the United Nations sits in Washington, tax free, triple parked, happily hating all that America stands for.
Perry showed confidence when he should have shown more wisdom. If he was still recuperating, he should not have been out there in that three ring circus. He cannot change all that we saw and heard repeatedly during that autumn. Stay in Texas please.
I could definitely vote for Perry.
Ted Cruz won all the debate contests available to him...We need someone who is solidly with us and can win any debate.
They were ‘both’...for they warned of what we would become and just what would bring it about...and we are once again on that precipice...this man had it right
If he was on drugs he should have known he was not competent. I did like him but why try for this high a dream unless you’re ready? For me I think he ruined his chance.
The problem with this is that most people, and that includes the LIV, don’t have a clue what socialism is or means. Until they are educated, (and who is going to educate them - our school system?) A lot of people think the term is “cool.”
Rick Perry had his shot. He showed that he can’t think on his feet during the debates. He’s a non-starter.
Wasn’t it pretty well established during the 2012 GOP presidential primaries that Perry isn’t ready for prime time.
Some one must have a lot of money on the table for him. There’s no other explanation as to why Perry would stick out his fuzzy head again.
Reagan didn’t get elected his first run for the presidency either. He lost to Gerald Ford, and then came back in 1980 and clobbered Jimmy Carter. Or have you forgotten that little detail? Geesh, some of you think if someone doesn’t make it the first time - they should just tuck their tail between their legs and hide in the dog house, I also think many on here are politically naive.
Winning debates doesn’t equal winning the presidency. Besides, each side claims a victory after a debate.
